Planning Your Sleeve or Band

Getting a large piece like a full sleeve or a solid armband is a commitment, and I treat it that way. When you come into the studio, we don't just pick a design off the wall. We look at your arm shape, the size of your forearm or bicep, and how the tattoo will age.

My process for larger pieces:

• Freehand Mapping: For sleeves, I often use freehand sketching on your skin to ensure the composition fits perfectly, especially when navigating joints like the elbow or wrist.
• Stenciling: For bands, getting a perfect circle is harder than it looks. I use precise stenciling to make sure the start and end points meet cleanly, creating a seamless look.
• Shading & Saturation: Whether you want black and grey realism or bold tribal patterns, I adjust my needle speed and technique to ensure the ink stays rich and doesn't fade unevenly over time.
