When you walk into Shades of Inks, you are not just getting ink. You are getting a process. For my featured cover-ups, I do not just put a patch over the old art. I analyze the ink density and skin tone to build a design that masks the past completely. Take that dragon cover-up or the floral transformation shown here. That takes patience, proper saturation, and the right needles to ensure the old tattoo does not bleed through.
My spiritual work, like the Mahadev or Shivaji Maharaj pieces, requires a different approach. It is all about the expression. I spend time researching the symbols so the final tattoo has the right 'bhakti' (devotion). For realistic portraits like the Dad-daughter footprint, I focus on the micro-details that make it look like a memory, not just a drawing.
I operate from two spots, Narpoli and Kongaon, and I keep my setup clean. Everything is sterilized, fresh, and set up right in front of you.
