About this collection
The biggest worry with statement earrings is the weight, so I build these with a feathery light construction, usually under 12g. I also use 18k gold screw-backs or heavy-duty push-back mechanisms, ensuring that even my 4-inch shoulder dusters sit flush and secure on your earlobe for hours without causing fatigue.
My process is rooted in the idea that jewellery should be a natural extension of yourself. When I create a pair of statement earrings, I start by hand-weaving 18k gold wire into intricate filigree patterns. This technique mimics the texture of Chantilly lace, giving the metal a soft, fabric-like appearance that adds depth and movement.
Nature is my primary muse. You will see this in the tiny floral studs, bird motifs, and leaf patterns that appear throughout this collection. I mix matte finishes with polished highlights to create contrast, making sure the gold catches the light whether you are in a brightly lit venue or a warm, intimate setting.
I source natural diamonds, Zambian emeralds, and Mozambique rubies to add that extra spark. My goal is to ensure that while the pieces are large and dramatic, they remain breathable and comfortable.
