I view these as miniature paintings set in gold. Each micromosaic is crafted by hand-setting tiny glass tiles to capture nature in a timeless, wearable form.

My hummingbird micromosaic pendant, a piece that captures a fleeting moment of nature's beauty. The bird and flowers are meticulously crafted from tiny glass tiles, set in an 18k gold and diamond filigree frame with a dangling emerald.

This video shows the incredible detail of my micromosaic peony earrings. You can see the texture and subtle color variations of the hand-laid tiles that form the flowers, surrounded by a halo of sparkling diamonds.

A custom floral micromosaic brooch created for Radhika Ambani. The bouquet of roses is rendered in tiny tiles and set within an octagonal frame, which is then mounted on a larger, textured 18k gold and diamond base.

A full Navratna concept set, featuring a necklace and matching earrings with micromosaic art. Each oval plaque depicts a different bird or floral scene on a unique colored background, framed by 18k gold filigree and pearls.

My micromosaic rose ring, as seen in the film 'Murder Mubarak'. This piece features a detailed pink rose on a dark background, set in a wide, textured 18k gold band and surrounded by a frame of natural diamonds.

An angled view of the micromosaic rose ring, showing the three-dimensional quality of the textured gold band and the intricate detail of the floral mosaic work.

About this collection

Each micromosaic is created by hand-setting microscopic glass tiles to form intricate avian or floral images. This process is highly time-intensive, requiring steady precision to ensure every tiny tile sits perfectly flush within its 18k gold filigree border. Because of this complexity, no two pieces are ever identical, providing you with a truly one-of-a-kind miniature painting that rests against your skin.

This ancient technique acts as a bridge between painting and jewellery making. I house these mosaics in frames of 18k yellow or rose gold, often surrounding them with natural diamonds or gemstones like Zambian emeralds to add depth and contrast. Unlike mass-produced items, these require patience to assemble, turning every earring or pendant into a sculptural work of art.

While the glass tiles are durable, they do demand gentle care. A simple wipe with a soft, dry cloth is sufficient for maintenance. Please avoid using ultrasonic cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can weaken the adhesive and the delicate tile settings. I design these pieces to be lightweight despite their intricate appearance, ensuring you can wear them comfortably for long hours at weddings or events.

Whether it is a hummingbird motif or a classic floral scene, these designs are meant to be heirlooms, passed down as memories. If you have a specific scene, bird, or floral memory you want to capture in gold, I offer one-on-one custom design consultations at my Mumbai studio to bring those personal stories to life.

I am Shachee. My creativity comes from the forests I trek through and the stillness I find in nature. When I work with micromosaics, I try to translate those fleeting, peaceful moments into solid 18k gold, creating pieces that feel like stories you can wear.
