Precious Emeralds and Rubies in 18k Gold
I believe that the right gemstone does not just catch the light; it holds a memory. My work with Zambian emeralds and Mozambique rubies focuses on celebrating the raw, organic beauty of the earth, set within delicate, hand-woven gold filigree.

About Precious Gems: Emeralds & Rubies
I focus on using raw, unheated Mozambique rubies and vibrant Zambian emeralds because they retain their organic character. Unlike standard commercial stones, these gems carry natural inclusions that tell their history. I set them in my 18k gold lace filigree to balance that raw earthiness with refined, wearable structure.
When you choose a piece from this collection, you are wearing something that has travelled from the earth to my Mumbai studio without losing its essence. I partner with suppliers like Gemfields to ensure that every emerald and ruby is sourced with respect for the land and the people involved.
The Art of Setting Raw Gems
Setting unheated stones is a delicate process. Because I do not use heat-treated gems, each stone has unique internal characteristics that define its personality. I design my 18k gold settings to cradle these stones securely while allowing light to move through them, highlighting their natural inclusions. You will see this in my cherry blossom rings and butterfly earrings, where the gold structure mimics nature to protect and frame the gem.
Why Emeralds and Rubies?
Emeralds have an addictive quality. I started using them because of their intense green, and now they are a staple in my work. Rubies offer a different energy. Whether they are polished cabochons or rough, raw slices, they bring a deep, passionate red that contrasts beautifully with my signature matte gold finish. My goal is to create jewellery that feels like a part of you, whether it is a shoulder duster for a formal event or a daily ring that carries a quiet, personal significance.
