Nature’s Muse: Birds & Blooms Jewellery Collection

Small wonders like the curl of a leaf, the pattern of a bird’s wing, or the delicacy of a bloom are captured in my handcrafted gold pieces.

A model wearing my show-stopping cherry blossom ring. This piece is a sculpture for the hand, with branches of 18k gold flowers and ruby "cherries" wrapping around multiple fingers, inspired by the beauty of spring.

My butterfly eartops, symbolizing transformation and resilience. These are handcrafted in 18k gold with a delicate lace-wing texture, with bodies made of marquise-cut Mozambique rubies and diamond accents.

My 'Birds of Paradise' earrings, worn to show their scale and design. These feature a floral stud, a bird with a ruby eye, and a large teardrop filigree piece with dangling gold leaves that create beautiful movement.

A collection from my 'Forest' series, photographed amongst lush greenery. This set includes large floral eartops and a matching ring, all crafted in 18k gold lace and set with ethically mined Zambian sugarloaf emeralds.

A pair of my 'sugarloaf' eartops. These feature a floral design of woven 18k gold, with a cluster of beautiful, candy-like Zambian emeralds at the center, complemented by a sprinkle of diamonds.

These rose-like ear tops are handmade with petals of rough, unheated Mozambique rubies. The raw gems are set around a central 18k gold filigree flower with diamonds, celebrating the natural beauty of the stones.

A unique, one-of-a-kind swivel ring. This piece features a large, hexagonal Zambian emerald at its center, held by two tiny, detailed birds on an 18k gold band. The central stone can be turned or 'swiveled'.

About this collection

Even when a piece features complex motifs like birds or heavy floral sprays, I design it for comfort. I use a 'feathery light' construction technique for my gold work, ensuring that even my 4-inch shoulder dusters remain airy and gentle on the ear. You can wear these statement pieces for hours at a wedding or a special event without any weight or fatigue.

My process begins with observation. Whether I am trekking or simply spending time in my Mumbai studio, I look for textures that can be translated into gold. The 'Birds & Blooms' collection is a result of translating these organic shapes into my signature 'Chantilly Lace' woven gold.

The Technique Behind the Blooms

I hand-weave 18k gold wire to mimic the softness of fabric. This filigree work allows me to create high-relief, three-dimensional structures—like the cherry blossoms wrapping around a finger or the wings of a butterfly—that feel solid yet look transparent. It is a slow, meditative process. No two pieces are identical because each floral motif is shaped by hand.

Working with Colour

To bring these nature-inspired designs to life, I integrate ethically sourced gemstones. I prefer the deep, vibrant hues of Zambian emeralds and Mozambique rubies, often using them in their raw, sugarloaf, or cabochon cuts to retain their natural character. When paired with the matte and mirror-finish textures of my gold work, these stones create a visual contrast that mimics the interplay of light in a forest.

If you are looking for a specific custom piece, such as a swivel ring featuring a particular bird or a pair of floral earrings that match your style, I am happy to consult with you one-on-one. We can discuss the gold weight, gemstone selection, and the final look to ensure the piece feels like a natural extension of yourself.
