Learn Mehndi Art Step-by-Step with Expert Guidance
Whether you are picking up a mehndi cone for the first time or looking to refine your strokes, my classes are designed to build your confidence. We keep things fun, pressure-free, and focused on your personal progress.
This video shows the very beginning of your mehndi journey with me. We start with the fundamentals, focusing on mastering basic strokes and patterns on practice sheets. I guide you through holding the cone and applying steady pressure, which are the most important skills for creating clean, beautiful designs. This foundational practice ensures you build confidence right from your first class.
About Featured
The hardest part about learning mehndi is often just mastering the pressure control of the cone. In my sessions, we skip the theory-heavy approach and jump straight into simple "jugaad" (hacks) for holding the cone correctly. You won't be staring at complex diagrams for hours; instead, you will be practicing basic strokes on paper immediately so you develop the right muscle memory before we ever move to skin.
My Approach to Mehndi Art
Learning mehndi is meant to be a joyful, creative break. Whether you are a total beginner or a teen looking to pick up a new hobby, my classes are structured to make you feel comfortable. I believe that mistakes are a necessary part of the process, and I am here to help you learn from them, not stress over them.
What You Will Learn
My curriculum is split into two main streams:
- Foundation Course (Beginners): Perfect for those who have never held a cone. We focus on the basics—gripping the cone, applying steady pressure, and mastering the "frills and humps" that define Arabic mehndi. We work through Arabic trails, vines, and floral fillers until your hand feels steady.
- Advanced Bridal Artistry: For those who want to take it to the next level. This involves intricate grid work (Jali), reverse filling techniques, and drafting figures like brides, grooms, and traditional motifs. We also cover commercial speed techniques to help you work faster and neater.
Logistics and Learning
I keep my batches small—usually 5 to 8 students—so I can personally check your cone grip and strokes in every class. You can choose to join me at my studio in Pitampura, North Delhi, for a face-to-face experience, or log in from the comfort of your home via our live online sessions. I provide all practice sheets and design templates, so you just need to bring your enthusiasm.
