Why I Teach Mehndi
Art for me is about sharing a bit of yourself, and Mehndi is my favourite way to do that. I love how a simple mehndi cone can turn into something so detailed and personal. My classes are for anyone who wants to try their hand at this art, whether you’re a total newbie or just want to get better.
Who Can Join
- No experience? Bilkul tension mat lo (don’t stress at all). I start from scratch, so even if you’ve never held a cone, you’ll be fine.
- Age is just a number here. Anyone 12 and up is welcome. I’ve taught teens, college students, and even moms who just want a creative break.
What You’ll Learn
- How to hold and control the mehndi cone (it’s trickier than it looks, but I’ll show you all the jugaad (hacks)).
- Basic strokes and simple floral designs to get you started.
- Moving on to Arabic mehndi patterns and then, if you’re up for it, bridal mehndi techniques.
- I keep things hands-on and practical, with step-by-step mehndi tutorials so you can actually see your progress.
How I Teach
I believe in making you comfortable and confident. Mistakes are part of the process, and I’m here to help you learn from them, not stress about them. You can join online from anywhere, or come to my Pitampura, North Delhi classes if you prefer learning face-to-face. I keep my batches small so everyone gets attention.

My Story
Hi, I'm Sonika Gupta. Art and calligraphy are my thing, but really I just love helping kids and moms find their creative spark. That's why I started Saraswatei Learnings - art is a gift, na? Every color, every stroke, it’s a joy. I’ve taught over 10,000 students, online and here in Delhi. Nothing beats seeing a kid proud of their work. I believe in gentle guidance. Bachho ko pyaar se samjhao (explain to kids with love), let them grow and shine.
My Work
Calligraphy, Handwriting and Drawing - I teach English and Devanagari calligraphy, cursive and handwriting improvement, and drawing for small kids. Teacher training for ladies also.
Kids and Grown-ups Both - Mostly small bacche come to me, but adults learn calligraphy and lettering with me too.
Online on Zoom - Classes are live on Zoom, 40 minutes, twice a week. 16 sessions in a 2 month course.
Gentle Guidance Teaching Style - No punishment zone. Bachho ko pyaar se samjhao (explain to kids with love). I build confidence first, neatness comes after.
Same Fees Everywhere - Whatever fees is on my website, that is the fees here also. I don't believe in changing price for different people.
