My Journey: From Physiotherapy to Yoga and Pilates

I’m a physiotherapist first, but yoga and pilates completely changed how I help people move. This is my journey from clinical science to the flow of the mat, and how I use both to help you live pain-free.

A fun moment from my graduation day. The text says "What's the most expensive thing you're wearing? Probably my brain!" It's a reminder that the knowledge I gained as a physiotherapist is the most valuable tool I bring to my practice.

A moment of pure joy on my graduation day. For me, becoming a physiotherapist was the first step toward a career of empowering movement and helping others find their strength.

Sitting in the classroom where I spent years studying the human body. This foundation in physiotherapy gives me a unique perspective on movement, safety, and healing.

Celebrating the culmination of years of hard work. My goal has always been to use my hands and heart to help others live healthier, more mobile lives.

A quiet moment of gratitude on graduation day. This milestone marked the beginning of my professional journey to combine healing with movement.

Standing in front of the blackboard as a physiotherapy student. This academic background is the science behind every yoga sequence and corrective exercise I design for my clients.

In my physio coat. This represents the clinical, evidence-based side of my practice. I combine this knowledge with the holistic principles of yoga and Pilates.

About this collection

People often ask why I spend so much time on biomechanics during our yoga sessions. It is because I have spent nine years studying the human body, and I don't want you to just copy a pose—I want you to understand how it fixes your specific pain. When you train with me, you are getting that clinical eye checking your alignment every step of the way, ensuring every movement is actually helping your joints and muscles, not just making you sweat.

Bridging Science and Movement

My path hasn’t been a straight line. I started with a degree in physiotherapy, learning the rigorous science of anatomy, gait analysis, and rehabilitation. While that clinical foundation is my anchor, it was my time in Mysore for intensive yoga teacher training that truly opened up the philosophical side of my practice. I realized then that health isn't just about treating an injury; it's about the connection between our mind, our breath, and our physical limits.

Why My Classes Feel Different

I don't teach "generic" yoga. Whether we’re doing a clinical assessment or a therapeutic session, I’m constantly thinking about your spinal alignment and joint health. If you come to me with chronic back pain or a repetitive stress injury, I’m not just going to tell you to "breathe through it." We’ll look at the root cause, identify the muscular imbalance, and use yoga and pilates to correct it.

A Body That Lasts

In my HSR Layout studio sessions, we might use reformer equipment to isolate a specific muscle group or focus on nerve gliding techniques during a stretch to relieve sciatica. It’s about building a body that lasts, not just one that looks good for a photo. Whether you’re recovering from an injury or just trying to fix years of tech-neck, my goal is to guide you back to a body you trust again. Consistency is the real secret—it is about loving yourself enough to do the work, even when it is hard.
