Stop-Motion & Animated Product Videos
I bring products to life through frame-by-frame animation. Whether it is floating candy or dancing cosmetics, I use rigging and post-production techniques to create videos that stop the scroll.
A playful stop-motion animation I created for Love Tone candies. Each frame was shot individually to make the candies appear to float into the packet, resulting in a fun and eye-catching product video for social media.
This is a compilation of creative shots for a single lipstick product. I used different techniques, from stop-motion for the logo to smoke and reflection for dramatic hero shots, to showcase the product's versatility for a cosmetics brand.
About Stop-Motion & Animated Videos
Stop-motion is not just about moving objects, it is about the rigging and the cleanup. To get those candies to float or cosmetics to move, I spend hours setting up invisible threads and support rigs, then edit every single support stand out in post-production. It looks effortless, but the final video is the result of frame-by-frame planning and hours of technical layering.
Stop-motion video serves one primary purpose: attention. In a feed filled with static images, movement triggers the human eye. My stop-motion work relies on a blend of physical control and digital precision.
The Process
Whether it is flying candy or opening products, I start with a storyboard. Then comes the physical rigging. I use clay tack, fishing lines, and custom-made supports to hold products in positions that defy gravity. This is the messy part you do not see in the final 15-second clip.
Post-Production
The real work happens after the shoot. Wire removal is the most critical step. I frame-by-frame remove rigs to ensure the product appears to move on its own. I finish with custom sound design. Those pops, whooshes, and clicks are synced to the motion to make the final result feel tactile and satisfying.
Application
This style works best for 10-20 second social media ads where you have a split second to explain what your product does. I work with brands to ensure the animation style matches the brand identity, whether it is playful and fun or sleek and minimal. If you have a product you want to stand out, we can discuss the feasibility of animating it.
