Professional Food & Beverage Videography
I specialize in making food and drinks look as good as they taste. From liquid splash effects to floating product shots, I use precise lighting and creative styling to make your brand stand out on social media.
This behind the scenes look shows the effort for a single shot. It took a full team and precise lighting with my Godox setup to create this rich, textured shot for a red chili powder brand.
Here’s how I create the floating bottle effect. This reel shows the setup and the final result for a commercial beverage video, delivering a clean, professional shot that makes the product pop.
A playful stop-motion animation I created for Love Tone candies. Each frame was shot individually to make the candies appear to float into the packet, resulting in a fun and eye-catching product video for social media.
About Food & Beverage Videography
Getting that perfect splash or floating product shot involves more than just a camera click. I use manual rigging with fishing lines, controlled smoke mist, and a specific 2-3 point commercial lighting setup to ensure your product labels and textures remain sharp and appetizing in every frame.
My approach to food and beverage videography is based on the final result, not just the recording. To make a product pop, I focus on the 'before and after'—styling, lighting, and the technical rig work required for stop-motion or dynamic movement.
The Technical Setup
I shoot on Sony Alpha series cameras for high-resolution 4K output, which I then downscale to 1080p for a crisp, professional look. My lighting setup uses Godox softboxes and snoots, which are essential for highlighting the specific texture of a food package or the clarity of a beverage.
Why Process Matters
Clients often ask how I get certain effects, like a bottle appearing to float or a drink splash captured mid-air. This involves:
- Manual Rigging: Using fishing lines and support stands that I remove in post-production.
- Lighting Precision: Using snoots to focus light exactly where the label needs to shine.
- Color Grading: I treat post-production as a distinct phase, beat-syncing the video to audio and balancing colors to ensure your food product looks fresh and consistent.
