Beverage and Liquid Motion Photography
From crisp whiskey pours to atmospheric cocktails, I use high-speed flash to freeze motion and highlight the unique character of every liquid.
Capturing the perfect whiskey pour is all about timing and light. For this shot, I focused on freezing the motion to show the rich amber color and the energy of the splash, creating a sense of elegance and movement for beverage brands.
A creative experiment capturing a lotus flower submerged in water. The vibrant colors and frozen bubbles create a beautiful and abstract image, showcasing my skills in splash and liquid photography.
A moody cocktail shot for Hakkasan's festive menu. I used atmospheric bar lighting with soft bokeh in the background to create an intimate and celebratory vibe, making the drink the star of the show.
An experimental shot of a Monkey Shoulder whiskey bottle. The dynamic angle and bold blue background lighting make the bottle feel modern and exciting, perfect for social media or ad campaigns.
For this Eden Mill gin bottle, I used dramatic red and blue lighting to highlight the textured glass. This technique creates a visually striking image that emphasizes the bottle's unique design.
About this collection
For beverage shots, I rely on high-speed sync flash to freeze liquid movement without any motion blur. Whether we are shooting a cocktail for a menu or a hero shot for a campaign, I focus on the interplay of light through glass and liquid to ensure the texture and colors pop.
Capturing liquids is a balancing act between physics and art. I use Broncolor systems with 1/8000s flash duration to stop time, ensuring that splashes look sharp and inviting rather than blurry. Lighting is everything here; I work with refraction and reflections to make glass look premium and liquid look appetizing, whether it is for a bottle packaging shoot or a restaurant menu.
My process typically starts in my studio at Satya Studios in Andheri, where I can control every variable. For commercial assignments, I often collaborate with professional food stylists to manage the pour, the ice, and the condensation, so the final frame looks as fresh as possible. We look at color-blocking and bokeh backgrounds to ensure the imagery fits your brand's aesthetic, whether you need something moody and dark or bright and energetic.
If you are planning a campaign, we can discuss the requirements for macro focus-stacking to ensure end-to-end sharpness on your bottles or liquid components. I am always happy to experiment with new angles and lighting setups to help your product stand out on the shelf or social media feeds.

I'm Sakina, and honestly, photography keeps me on my toes. I love the messy process of experimenting with light and liquids to find that perfect splash or texture. For me, it is all about collaboration and helping brands tell their story through visuals that feel real and refreshing.
