Creative and Conceptual Still Life Photography
Photography is a constant experiment with light, texture, and composition. This gallery showcases my personal, conceptual work, where I explore abstract liquid drips and fine art arrangements to push my creative boundaries.
A personal project exploring texture and light. Here, a slice of orange is suspended with a drip of honey, backlit to make the fruit glow and highlight the viscosity of the liquid.
This video captures the messy but beautiful process of my fruit and liquid texture series. It shows cherries and oranges interacting with caramel and honey, resulting in unique and artistic visuals.
A cross-section of a pomegranate with honey dripping over it. The hard light catches the glistening texture of the seeds and the liquid, creating a rich and delicious-looking fine art photograph.
An experiment with a pear and melted chocolate. The way the thick chocolate drapes over the fruit creates a decadent and sculptural form, turning a simple food pairing into a piece of art.
A single cherry with a delicate drip of caramel. The clean white background and focused lighting draw all attention to the interaction between the fruit's glossy skin and the sticky liquid.
Part of my "Fru-Veg" series, this image features a pineapple crowned with grapes, surrounded by other fruits and vegetables. The lighting is inspired by classical paintings, creating a dramatic, moody still life.
Another composition from my "Fru-Veg" series, this time stacking produce in shades of yellow and orange. The single white flower adds a touch of elegance to the playful, sculptural arrangement.
About this collection
These images are not just studio shots; they are the result of deliberate, often messy, experiments. When I am not shooting commercial campaigns, I am at my studio in Mumbai or Pune, testing new ways to freeze a honey drip or stack fruit in moody, classical lighting. This personal practice is exactly how I refine the technical skills, like high-speed flash and macro precision, that I bring to your commercial product or menu photography.
My approach to creative still life photography is simple: it needs to be real, tactile, and visually arresting. Whether I am capturing a drip of caramel on a cherry or arranging a fruit and vegetable composition, I rely on my studio setup in Andheri or Pune to control every element of the shot.
Technical precision is the backbone of these images. For the liquid shots, I use high-speed sync techniques with Broncolor systems to freeze motion without any blur. When shooting still items, I rely on macro lenses and focus stacking to ensure that textures, from fruit skins to honey viscosity, pop with life. It is not just about the final image; it is about the hours of lighting experimentation that happen before the shutter even clicks.
My process is deeply collaborative. I often work with talented food stylists to source props and manage textures, ensuring that every element—from the choice of background to the specific color palette—serves the brand story. If you are looking for product photography that goes beyond the standard, I bring these same artistic sensibilities to commercial work. Whether you need hero shots for an advertising campaign or stylized social media content, I apply the same dedication to lighting and texture. I am always ready to experiment with new creative concepts to help your brand pop on social media or in a catalog.
