Personal Growth Coaching for Reflection and Healing
I see coaching as a journey inward. Through writing and guided reflection, I help you uncover your own voice and navigate life's transitions with compassion.
After I trimmed all the dead leaves from my Dracaena plant, I whispered words of encouragement to its bare stems every day. This morning, I saw this new plumule. It reminded me that even when things seem barren, hope and nurturing can bring new life. It is a powerful lesson in self talk and perseverance.
This photo was taken on my fifth anniversary in Canada. I don't always feel at home, but I celebrate this day every year to honor my journey. Immigrating pushed me out of my comfort zone and led to immense growth, from performing poetry on stage to deepening my spiritual quest. I owe Canada my evolution.
My journey as a radio host on Red FM Toronto evolved from being about me to being about them, the listeners. It became a space for immigrants to feel connected and heard. The most powerful moments, like when one listener's act of kindness inspired another, showed me the radio can be a tool for creating peace and community.
What if life was about ordinary things? Walking on a beach, being grateful for the body that carries you, meeting every moment with compassion. I believe true fulfillment is found not in the extraordinary, but in being fully present to the simple, profound beauty of our everyday lives.
On a recent trip to Montreal, I was struck by how many invisible people contributed to my experience, from the road builders to the musicians. This photo in front of a monument reminds me of our profound interconnectedness. When we look beyond ourselves, we can feel a deep sense of gratitude and awe for the oneness of the cosmos.
This morning, the chirping of birds filled my meditation, and my heart filled with joy. We often wait for big moments to celebrate, but miss the little miracles unfolding around us. A cup of tea, a conversation with a friend, a hug from a child. These are the moments that truly nourish our souls.
For years, this little plant showed no signs of flowering, but I kept watering it with faith. This morning, a pink bud appeared, reminding me that what is essential is often invisible to the eye. As a coach and parent, I know we must sow seeds of creativity and trust they will blossom in their own time.
Celebrating eight years of my 'Sailing Leaf' program. It has been a journey of helping children and youth find their inner voice through writing. I may have started it, but it now belongs to the community of parents and children who have kept it sailing. Their growth is the force that keeps me going.
About My Philosophy: Reflections on Life & Growth
We do not look for quick fixes here, because life is not a problem to be solved. We use creative writing as a tool—a kind of medicine—to help you externalize what is happening inside. Whether you are a parent feeling the weight of expectations, a teen seeking your own ground, or an adult wanting to reconnect with yourself, my role is to hold the thread (the sootradhar) while you find your own way through the maze.
My Approach to Coaching
I believe the most important work happens when we stop trying to 'fix' ourselves and start listening to what is already there. My methodology is rooted in bibliotherapy and expressive writing, which serves as a mirror for your inner state. By putting thoughts onto paper, you gain distance from your pain, anxiety, or confusion, allowing you to see your situation with more clarity.
How We Work Together
- Bibliotherapy: I integrate poetry, metaphors, and book excerpts into our sessions to help you articulate feelings that are hard to name.
- Introspection: We use the observation-reflection-action framework to identify subconscious blocks. I ask questions that guide you to your own answers.
- Asynchronous Support: You are not alone between our meetings. I provide email support to help you regulate and analyze your journaling prompts throughout the week.
Who I Support
- Teens (13+): A judgment-free space to tackle school stress, body image, and the pressure to fit in. We focus on confidence and listening to your own mind.
- Parents: We explore 'unparenting' methods. If you are tired of lecturing and want a home where everyone feels heard, we work on shifting the dynamic of your household.
- Women & Adults: For those feeling stuck, lonely, or needing to rediscover their creative spark. We use journaling to heal old narratives and find new purpose.
My sessions are held via Zoom, keeping the format private and intimate. Whether you need a single 90-minute deep clarity consultation or a 4-6 week small group cohort, we begin by connecting as real people, not just coach and client.
Sailing Leaf
I am Manmeet, and I see coaching as a dialogue between equals. I have lived the immigrant experience, navigated the quiet of being an introvert, and raised children, so I know the value of having a safe space to be heard. Let us sit together and uncover the clarity you are looking for.
