About Behind the Scenes & Fun Choreography
A lot of people ask me if you need to be a professional dancer to start teaching Zumba. The truth? You just need rhythm and the right mentorship. I’ve spent 12 years breaking down complex choreography into simple, repeatable patterns—whether it's for a high-intensity routine or a fun kid-friendly session—and I can show you how to do the same.
Teaching is more than just memorizing a routine. When I pull up a new track, I’m looking for the groove first, then the steps.
My journey as a ZES™ has taken me across 19 cities, and the biggest lesson I’ve learned is that choreography needs to be accessible. Whether you’re training for Zumba Basic 1 or sharpening your skills with Rhythms 3, my sessions focus on:
- Deconstructing Rhythm: Breaking down Salsa, Cumbia, and Afrobeat into cues that actually make sense to your students.
- The Business of Dance: How to handle the reality of the industry, from setting boundaries to managing performance anxiety.
