A showreel from the Bengaluru Freshathon 2025, a run for cancer awareness. With over 1,300 runners, my job was to keep the energy high from the starting line to the finish.
Being interviewed by DD News about my experience hosting the Freshathon. It was great to share the success of the event and the amazing spirit of the Bengaluru running community.
On stage at the Bengaluru Freshathon. Hosting a marathon means you have to start with high energy to motivate thousands of runners at the crack of dawn.
Posing next to the official banner for the Freshathon. I was proud to be associated with such a well-organized event for a great cause.
Holding my finisher's medal after the run. Even as the host, I feel the same sense of accomplishment as the participants.
This showreel from the CRY 'Walk to EmpowHER' captures the spirit of the day. We had over 400 people walking to support education for girls, and I was thrilled to be their host.
A candid moment from the CRY India walkathon. Addressing the crowd of volunteers and participants, I focused on the importance of the cause to keep everyone motivated.
About this collection
Hosting a marathon isn't just about talking into a mic; it’s about managing 1,500 runners at 5:00 AM. I keep the energy high through the start line, during potential weather hiccups like rain, and right through to the final medal distribution. I coordinate with DJs, fitness trainers, and event organizers to ensure that whether it’s a cancer awareness run or a millet marathon, the flow is smooth and the crowd stays pumped.
When you bring me on board for a marathon or a social cause event, you are getting more than just an anchor. I operate as an extension of your organizing team.
The Marathon Approach
Large-scale events, especially marathons like the Freshathon or Millet Run, require a specific kind of intensity. You need someone who can handle the pre-dawn starts, often beginning as early as 4:30 AM, and maintain that level of excitement until the final runner crosses the finish line.
Why Multilingual Matters
In a city like Bengaluru, your participants come from everywhere. I switch seamlessly between English, Kannada, and Hindi to deliver safety instructions, announce race categories, or interview runners. This ensures that every volunteer, senior citizen, and participant feels connected to the cause rather than just being a face in the crowd.
Crowd Management & Interaction
- Logistics: I sync with your console teams for AV, lighting, and entry cues so the schedule doesn't slip.
- Engagement: From motivating runners at the start line to coordinating with celebrity flag-offs and sponsor plugs, I know how to fill the gaps in the run of show.
- The Pramod Experience: I don’t rely on static scripts. I feed off the crowd's energy, which is essential for CSR initiatives where the mood needs to be inspiring, not just loud.
Emcee Pramod
I’m Pramod, and I live for the energy of a crowd that's ready to go. My goal is to make sure every runner or walker feels the buzz from the start line to the finisher's medal, regardless of the event size.
