Featured Dog Training & Obedience Success
I believe every dog learns at their own pace. These moments capture the progress my students make—from building puppy foundations to mastering commands in real-world scenarios.
A common question I get is, "My dog listens at home, but not outside." This is completely normal because of all the new distractions. My training focuses on gradually introducing your dog to new environments, from your corridor to the street, ensuring they can listen to you anywhere. We set them up for success, making training an enjoyable bonding experience, not a chore.
It was wonderful to hear such positive feedback from Simba's parent after our group obedience course. Even dogs who are reactive on leash can learn to be calm and confident around others with the right guidance and positive reinforcement. Seeing Simba thrive was the best reward.
Here is little Goku, a husky puppy, learning how to walk on a loose leash in a real neighborhood. We encountered distractions like a biscuit on the road, which became a perfect teaching moment for the "Leave It" command. Building these foundational skills early makes for a well-behaved companion for life.
Fun Agility is a fantastic way to give your dog physical and mental exercise. This short video shows some of the equipment we use, like tunnels and A-frames, to build confidence, improve obedience, and strengthen the bond between you and your dog in a secure, fun environment.
The 'place' command is one of the most useful skills for a calm household. Here's Rover, a Great Dane, learning to go to his designated spot and stay there. This command helps create a calm mindset and is great for managing excitement when guests arrive.
Proper socialization isn't about letting your dog meet every other dog. It's about teaching them to be calm and neutral. Here, you can see Xena and Pluto walking calmly next to each other after several careful introductions. This is the goal: peaceful coexistence.
Wondering what my group obedience classes are all about? This quick guide explains who the classes are for, what we do in our outdoor sessions, and why it's one of the best ways to improve your handling skills and your dog's obedience around distractions.
About this collection
People often ask me, 'Why does my dog listen indoors but ignore me outside?' The truth is, that gap is normal. I don't believe in forcing behavior; I work in steps, from your living room to the busy street, ensuring your dog feels confident enough to listen to you, no matter the distraction.
Training isn't just about command-response; it's about communication. My approach at SAGA is purely positive. I don't use fear or intimidation because a scared dog doesn't learn—they just shut down. Whether we’re working on the 'place' command or loose leash walking, we prioritize a happy, willing mindset.
These photos and videos show the real work I do with my students. You’ll see me tackling common behavioral issues like reactivity, helping puppies learn the 'leave it' command amidst neighborhood distractions, and using agility work to build confidence. My goal isn't to create a robot that obeys on command; it's to help you and your dog become a solid team.
Everything I teach is built on the same foundation I used with my own dog, Bruce. We start with basics inside the house and slowly increase the challenge. My group obedience classes in Yelahanka are designed to replicate the real world—other dogs, people, sounds, and scents—so you can practice obedience where it actually matters. It’s hard work, but when you see that progress—the moment your dog chooses to focus on you instead of a trigger—it's better than any 'maa ke haath ka gajar ka halwa'.
