Blending architecture with the natural foothills of the Himalayas. This Dehradun homestay project highlights our approach to creating a sanctuary that feels like a natural extension of its surroundings.

The entrance of the Doon Homestay was designed to be a grand yet intimate welcome. The vaulted ceiling of the portico, illuminated by elegant chandeliers, offers a preview of the comfort and classic design found within the home.

Here you can see how the architecture settles into the landscape. I carefully positioned the building to preserve the mature mango tree, making it a central feature of the property and ensuring the home feels established and at peace with its environment.

About The Doon Homestay: A Serene Retreat

When designing in locations like Dehradun, preserving existing site features is non-negotiable. For this homestay, we integrated the building around a mature mango tree rather than clearing it, making the tree the focal point for the property entrance. This approach ensures the architecture feels established and at peace with the environment from day one.
