About this collection

True preparation for a high-stakes tournament like the WPL is built on high-intensity repetition. We ran training sessions facing over 400 balls to build muscle memory, often using simple, unconventional tools like tires to sharpen focus. Technique matters, but in T20 cricket, your mental response to pressure is what actually defines the outcome.

Success on the main stage is the result of what happens in the nets when no one is watching. As the batting coach for the WPL 2024 champions, my focus was not just on correcting stances or backlifts, but on building a warrior mindset for every player in the squad.

The Philosophy of Performance

I believe in 'Own Your Flight.' This means taking full responsibility for your game, whether you are a debutant or an international star. My coaching methodology relies on:

  • High-Volume Repetition: We don't believe in shortcuts. Facing 400+ balls in a single session builds the endurance and consistency required for T20 power hitting.
  • Desi Jugaad: Sometimes the best training tools are the simplest ones. Using tires and narrow lanes in practice forces players to find gaps and refine their hand-eye coordination under constraints.
  • Match Simulation: We create pressure scenarios in training. If you can handle the intensity of a simulated final at Chinnaswamy during a net session, the actual match becomes easier.

Tactical Execution

Beyond the physical drills, my work involves rigorous tactical planning. From the auction table to the dugout, we break down opposition strategies and assign clear roles. Winning the WPL wasn't about one individual; it was about every player understanding their role within the team's 'namma team' spirit. If you are looking to elevate your team's tactical approach or refine individual batting mechanics, I bring this same intensity and structured process to every coaching engagement, from local academies to professional leagues.
