A winning season doesn't start on the pitch. It begins months earlier, at the auction table, where the right mix of talent, temperament, and tactical fit is assembled.

About this collection

Building a competitive squad isn't just about picking star players. It is about the hours spent in the war room before the gavel drops—running data models, defining player roles, and calculating value buys to ensure every slot in the squad serves a specific tactical purpose.

Success in high-stakes T20 leagues like the TNPL or Maharaja Trophy is designed long before the first ball is bowled. When I sit at the auction table with team management, we are not guessing; we are executing a blueprint.

The War Room Approach

My process involves a deep dive into the player pool well before the event. We break down opposition strengths, identify gaps in our own lineup, and create a strict budget framework. This isn't just about raw talent. It is about identifying the specific skill sets—be it a death-over specialist or a power-hitter—that will function under the pressure of the tournament.

Defining Roles Early

One of the biggest mistakes teams make is buying talent without a clear roadmap. We use whiteboards to map out the entire squad structure. We define batting orders and bowling rotations immediately post-selection. This clarity helps players understand their expectations from day one, which is vital for building a 'namma team' culture.

Data-Backed Decisions

We use historical performance data to avoid overpaying for hype. My focus is on the right fit for the specific conditions we will face. Whether it is a mini-auction or a full player draft, the goal is always the same: to create a balanced squad that can adapt to any scenario the opposition throws at us.

If your franchise or team is preparing for an upcoming league, let's connect. I help management teams turn potential into a cohesive, winning squad.
