About this collection
When you see my work, you are seeing the result of patient steam ironing and precision pinning. I don't just fold the fabric; I secure every pleat with high-tensile pins so you can sit, stand, and move comfortably through your rituals without worrying about your drape slipping or coming loose.
Adhu thaan ennoda style (that is my style). Whether it is a heavy Kanchipuram silk or a lighter designer saree, my process remains the same because I know how important these hours are for you.
My Draping Process
- Steam Ironing: I use a professional handheld steamer to ensure every pleat is crisp and wrinkle-free before we even start. Paatheenganna, this makes all the difference in how the fabric falls and photographs.
- Secure Pinning: Rituals can be hectic. I use rust-proof, high-tensile safety pins to lock the pleats in place. You will feel secure whether you are performing a prostration or moving around for candid photos.
- Jewelry Setting: Getting the pallu height right and positioning your Oddiyanam (waist belt) correctly is crucial. I take my time to adjust these so your silhouette looks balanced and polished.
Why Pre-Pleating Matters
If you have a destination wedding or just want a stress-free morning, I offer pre-pleating and box-folding. I measurement-tailor the saree to your height and waist size. It arrives ready to wear, acting like a skirt that you can step into in under ten minutes. It is perfect for when you are travelling from abroad or just want to save time.
I love working with brides in Chennai and beyond, and I am always happy to share tips on how to manage your drape so you can just focus on enjoying your big day.
