This is how it's done. A quick tutorial on my method for draping a mundu for a clean, sharp finish. It's all about the right technique to ensure it looks good and stays on.
A glimpse of the getting-ready process. While the makeup artist adds the finishing touches, I am ensuring the bride's saree pleats are perfect, showcasing my work with the entire wedding party.
It's always a team effort to create the perfect look. Here I am adjusting the pleats for Meera Nandan while her makeup artist works his magic, showing how we collaborate to get every detail right.

About The Art of Draping (Behind the Scenes)
I do not use irons or heat to get those sharp pleats because I believe in preserving the fabric, especially for expensive silks or vintage heirlooms. When I pin your drape, my focus is on structural security, making sure you can move, dance, or sit comfortably for hours without a single slip.
Draping is often the final piece of the bridal puzzle. You have the makeup done, the jewelry set, and the photographer waiting. That is where I come in. My approach is methodical and collaborative. Whether you are wearing a heavy Kanchipuram silk or a delicate Kerala kasavu, the drape needs to balance form and function. I work closely with your makeup artist and photographer to ensure the fall of the saree complements your silhouette and catches the light exactly right.
My process centers on silhouette management. I use advanced securing methods involving discreet pinning and folding techniques that ensure heavy fabrics do not look bulky. If you are preparing for a wedding, I provide standby support to handle final touch-ups before you enter the venue. This behind-the-scenes support is about removing the stress of the getting-ready phase so you can actually enjoy the moment. From intimate home ceremonies to large-scale events in Dubai, Malaysia, or across India, my goal is to ensure your look is photo-ready and remains secure throughout your celebration.
