Technician Visit, Diagnosis & Minor Fixes
Scope of Work
- On-Site Diagnosis: Physical inspection of the DVR/NVR unit, power supply (SMPS), and up to 4 cameras to identify the root cause of signal loss or noise.
- Connector Replacement: Removal of rusted or loose BNC/DC connectors and replacement with new copper-pin BNC connectors (up to 4 connectors included).
- Power Supply Check: Voltage check on the SMPS using a multimeter to ensure cameras are receiving adequate power; adjusting voltage potentiometers if available.
- Cable Dressing: Basic re-taping of exposed wire joints using industrial-grade electrical insulation tape and securing loose hanging cables near the DVR.
- View Configuration: Re-configuring monitor resolution to resolve 'Out of Range' errors.
Technical & Material Details
- Consumables Included: Standard BNC connectors, DC pins, insulation tape, and cable ties.
- Exclusions: Major hardware replacement like Hard Disk Drives (HDD), SMPS units, Cable bundles, or Cameras are not included. These will be quoted separately if faulty.
- Turnaround: Immediate fix for minor wiring/connector issues.
Chip-Level Lab Repair (DVR, NVR & Video Door Phones)
Scope of Work
- Logistics: Unmounting the faulty device (DVR, NVR, or Video Door Phone) and transporting it to the lab for detailed analysis.
- Deep Diagnostics: Tracing the PCB using multimeters to identify short circuits, burnt capacitors, faulty ICs, or damaged power regulators.
- Component Replacement: Desoldering damaged components and soldering fresh, equivalent-rating electronic components (Capacitors, Mosfets, Relays, or BIOS chips).
- Port Repair: Fixing damaged HDMI, VGA, or LAN ports on the DVR/NVR unit.
- Stress Testing: Running the device for 6-12 hours on the test bench to ensure stability before reinstalling.
Technical Specifications
- Device Coverage: Repair support for Hikvision, CP Plus, Panasonic, and Dahua branded units.
- Repair Type: Component-level repair (fixing the specific board) rather than expensive card-level replacement.
- Timeline: Turnaround time of 48 to 72 hours for bench repair.
- Warranty: 1-month service warranty on the specific repaired component.
Password Reset, Network Config & Mobile App Setup
Scope of Work
- Admin Password Reset: Secure resetting of forgotten DVR/NVR admin passwords using manufacturer-authorized challenge-response methods (XML export/import).
- Network Configuration: Configuring IP Address, Subnet, and Gateway settings on the DVR/NVR to match the client's Wi-Fi router.
- Mobile App Setup: Installing and configuring surveillance apps (Hik-Connect, gCMOB, DMSS) on up to 4 smartphones.
- Platform Linking: Creating or recovering cloud accounts to ensure P2P remote viewing works without a Static IP.
- User Training: Demonstration on how to playback footage, take snapshots, and operate remote locking features via mobile.
Technical Requirements
- Prerequisites: Client must have an active internet connection at the DVR location.
- Security: New credentials are handed over immediately to the owner; no guest accounts remain active.
Annual Maintenance Contract (Labor Only)
Scope of Work
- Scheduled Visits: 4 Preventive Maintenance visits per year (one every quarter) to proactively check system health.
- Lens Cleaning: Cleaning of camera lenses and housing using anti-static fluid to remove dust accumulation and ensure sharp night vision.
- Storage Health Check: Verifying Hard Disk Drive (HDD) for bad sectors and optimizing recording retention periods.
- Breakdown Support: Unlimited 'On-Call' support for system failures. Technician visits for repairs incur no separate visiting charge.
- Firmware Updates: Updating DVR/NVR firmware to the latest stable versions.
Commercial Terms
- Coverage: Covers all service charges (Labor) for the year.
- Exclusions: Cost of spare parts (Cable, HDD, Camera Unit, Power Supply) is NOT included. Parts are charged at actuals if replacement is required.
- Response Time: Priority service status with a target response time of 24 hours for breakdown calls.
