Professional Makeup and Hair for Celebrity and Ad Film Shoots
High-pressure sets require more than just skill. I bring a structured approach to every celebrity appearance and commercial campaign, focusing on precision, continuity, and seamless collaboration.
The full ad for CREX featuring Harmanpreet Kaur. My job was to create a natural, durable makeup look that worked for both the emotional close-ups and the action shots.
A TV commercial for Comfort fabric conditioner. I created a soft, natural, and friendly makeup and hair look for the lead actress, perfect for a heartwarming home setting.
I did the makeup for Rannvijay Singha for this Discovery Channel interview. The grooming was minimal and natural, designed to make him look great on camera without being distracting.
A soft glam makeup and hair look for actress Reem Sameer. I created a subtle smokey eye and flowing waves to complement her beautiful red ethnic outfit.
A shoot with actress Kaveri Priyam. For this look, we went with a wet-hair style and a bold lip, creating a fresh and modern fashion statement.
Another shot of Kaveri Priyam, showcasing the wet-look hair and summery makeup. This style is great for fashion shoots that require a bit of an edge.
Behind the scenes and final shots from my work with Alaviaa Jaaferi for L'Oréal Paris. I created several sleek and sophisticated hairstyles for this major campaign.
A studio shoot with actress Millie. The look here is a dramatic smokey eye, a nude pink lip, and a stylishly messy braid, creating a chic and modern vibe.
A full-length shot from the shoot with Millie, showing how the hair and makeup work with the full outfit, including a trench coat and corset belt.
A close-up portrait of Millie. This shot highlights the smokey eye and the texture in the hair, creating a powerful and confident image.
About Celebrity & Ad Film Shoots
On a professional set, makeup is about more than just aesthetics. For ad films, I prioritize a 'bulletproof' application that holds up under hot studio lights and intense 12-hour shifts. This means focusing on high-end skin preparation and constant monitoring, so the look remains consistent from the first take to the last, ensuring zero issues with continuity during post-production.
When you are shooting an ad film or a high-profile interview, every second on set counts. My process is built around the realities of a production schedule. I work closely with the Gaffer and the Director of Photography to understand the lighting setup, ensuring the makeup density is perfectly calibrated for the camera, whether it is for 4K video or a macro beauty shot.
My Approach to Commercial Sets
- Pre-Shoot Consultation: I align with the mood board and brand identity before we arrive on set, so we can execute immediately.
- Continuity Management: I provide dedicated monitoring to track details like shine, smudges, and hair placement. If you are shooting out of sequence, I ensure the look stays identical throughout the day.
- HD and 4K Readiness: For beauty editorials and TVCs, I use specialized techniques for skin prep and texture. This creates that 'glass skin' or 'velvet matte' finish that reads correctly on high-definition screens without needing heavy retouching.
- Team Collaboration: I have worked with diverse crews, from directors and producers to art teams. I keep my station organized and mobile, ready to move quickly during rapid outfit changes or location shifts.
I have experience managing talent for varied environments, from the controlled atmosphere of a studio to the unpredictable nature of on-location shoots. Whether it is grooming for a sports personality, styling for an actress, or creating a clean, natural look for a corporate campaign, I adapt my kit and technique to the specific needs of the project. My goal is to make the talent look their absolute best while making the shoot day smoother for the production team.
