Professional Makeup for Beauty & Skincare Campaigns
High-definition, camera-ready makeup for beauty ads and skincare shoots. From natural, glowing skin to clean commercial looks that hold up under 4K lighting.
A clean, minimalist makeup look for a CS Essentials campaign, focusing on their eyelash range. The goal was to enhance natural beauty while showcasing the product on different eye shapes.
This shot for CS Essentials highlights a cream blush, applied to create a healthy, dewy glow. I focused on seamless blending to make the skin look naturally radiant.
A close-up beauty shot demonstrating a soft, rosy blush from CS Essentials. The makeup is minimal to keep the focus on the product's color and texture on the skin.
Another look from the CS Essentials blush campaign, showing a peachy tone on a different skin type. My approach is always to customize the application for each individual.
Showcasing the subtle definition of CS Essentials' eyelash range. This image highlights how the lashes add just enough enhancement for a natural, everyday look.
A joyful shot for a Santoor Royal Sandal campaign. The makeup and hair are clean and simple, creating a fresh and approachable look that aligns with the brand's natural aesthetic.
For this Santoor face pack shot, the makeup needed to be extremely minimal to look realistic. I focused on creating a healthy skin base that would look great even with the product applied.
A close-up for a Santoor serum ad, where the focus is entirely on glowing, hydrated skin. This is a perfect example of my "no-makeup" makeup technique for skincare campaigns.
A clean beauty look for the skincare brand Asoka T. I created a soft, matte finish on the skin with subtle definition to highlight the model's features without looking heavily made up.
This profile shot for Asoka T showcases a dewy, natural skin finish. The highlight is placed strategically to catch the light and give the skin a healthy, luminous quality.
About Beauty & Skincare Campaigns
When I am on set for beauty campaigns, I coordinate directly with the DOP to adjust makeup density based on the lighting setup. Whether it is soft, natural sunlight for a serum commercial or high-intensity studio lights for a macro skincare shot, I adjust the product texture to ensure the skin remains true to camera. This approach keeps the skin looking authentic on screen while reducing the need for heavy post-production editing.
The Art of the Campaign Look
Beauty campaigns require a balance between technical precision and creative vision. My process begins with extensive skin preparation—using premium hydrating products from brands like Estee Lauder and Clinique—to create a canvas that naturally glows. For 4K and high-definition shoots, I focus on 'invisible' makeup, ensuring that features are defined without looking over-applied.
Why Lighting Matters
Makeup behaves differently under various lighting conditions. My approach changes based on the brief:
- Natural/Sunlit: I use light-reflecting, hydrating textures to mimic healthy, fresh skin, perfect for sunscreen or serum advertisements.
- Studio/Editorial: I utilize matte-finish techniques for controlled studio lighting, ensuring the model's skin remains shine-free without looking flat.
- Macro/Close-up: I focus on minute details, such as clean lash application and seamless blending, to stand up to the extreme scrutiny of close-up lenses.
Efficiency on Set
I understand that production time is expensive. My kit and workflow are built for speed. I am accustomed to rapid changeovers—often under 15 minutes—during high-volume e-commerce days where outfit counts are high. Whether it is a solo shoot or a large-scale TVC with a full production crew, my focus is on maintaining continuity and providing a fresh, consistent look from the first take to the last.
