Behind the Scenes of My Henna Art
A glimpse into how I turn henna into a therapeutic experience using only 100% natural ingredients.
Even the henna artist needs to get her henna done sometimes. It had been over four years, and this video captures my excitement. It also reminded me how much patience it takes to be on the other side.
A quick montage showcasing a variety of my recent henna designs, from full bridal portraits to simpler, elegant patterns for guests. It's a glimpse into the diverse stories I get to tell through my art.
About this collection
Sitting for hours during a bridal henna session is a serious commitment for any bride. My process is designed to turn that waiting time into a comfortable, relaxed experience. We chat and I make sure you are positioned comfortably so you can enjoy the process instead of just watching the clock.
Henna is a therapeutic ritual for me. Since 2015, I have been crafting custom designs in Bengaluru using only 100% natural henna cones that I mix myself. This approach ensures a safe, deep stain without the harsh chemicals found in commercial instant pastes. Whether you want a simple floral pattern or a complex narrative featuring couple portraits and important dates, I treat your skin as a canvas for your story.
Clients often ask if the process gets boring. On the contrary, it is a meditative experience. I focus on creating a relaxed environment where we can discuss your vision, include cultural motifs, or add personal scripts. Please remember that my natural paste requires patience. It takes 35 to 48 hours for the color to mature to its richest mahogany shade. Because of this, I suggest scheduling your session early.
Beyond bridal work, I also offer specialized services like allergy-friendly colored henna for those with sensitivities and creative body art for photoshoots. If you are looking for a unique keepsake, I also create framed henna portraits that make meaningful gifts. Let me know what you have in mind so we can plan a design that fits your specific needs.
Rivaaz by Komal
Hi, I am Komal. For me, henna is as much about the conversation and the therapy as it is about the final pattern. I treat every hand as a fresh canvas and love weaving personal details, like your love story or family portraits, into the design using my own homemade, 100% natural paste.
