Celebrity Homes: Designing Personal Sanctuaries

A home should hold your story, not a public image. Designing for public figures is about stripping away the noise to create a private sanctuary that feels deeply, quietly yours.

Alia Bhatt's home was about creating a space that was simple, warm, and deeply personal. The tea bar became the heart of her home, a cozy corner for her to unwind. It was never about grandeur, but about shaping a sense of comfort and belonging.

Designing for Aditi Rao Hydari was like capturing her essence on a canvas. Here she is, relaxing in her living room, a space filled with vibrant color and pattern that feels both elegant and effortlessly graceful.

Parineeti Chopra wanted her home to feel like a hug after a long day. We kept the design minimal yet layered, with clean lines, monochrome tones, and cozy textures. The bar area, with its view of the city, is a perfect example of this balanced, calm aesthetic.

When I designed Dia Mirza's home, it was about creating a space that could hold all the art and furniture she had collected over the years. This corner, with its rustic wooden console and beautiful flowers, perfectly reflects her warmth, grace, and quiet strength.

This home for Kangana Ranaut was one of my earliest projects, where I discovered my own design language. Lounging on a classic Chesterfield sofa, the space around her is filled with eclectic art and vintage touches, reflecting a home that is as bold and timeless as she is.

A functional and glamorous dressing area designed for Alia Bhatt. The vanity with classic makeup lights and colorful acrylic drawers is both practical and playful, creating a space that is perfectly organized for a busy actor.

An old-world carved console stands in Aditi Rao Hydari's home, topped with beautiful paintings of Indian goddesses. This little vignette is a perfect blend of her spiritual side and her love for traditional Indian art and craftsmanship.

In this shot from her home feature, Kangana Ranaut stands in her dining area. The space is eclectic and personal, with a bright yellow table, mismatched chairs, and a wall of vintage posters, creating a home with a strong, artistic point of view.

About Celebrity Homes

When I design for public figures, the process is not about grandeur or status. It is about listening to the quiet needs of someone who lives their life under a spotlight. For instance, creating Alia Bhatt’s tea bar was not about a design statement. It was about carving out a small, warm corner for her to simply unwind and be herself.

My work with public figures is rarely about the public persona they portray. Instead, it is a quiet, collaborative conversation about what it means to come home. When I worked with Dia Mirza, the task was to honour her collection of art and furniture while grounding them in a space that felt lived in, not staged. Similarly, with Kangana Ranaut, the goal was to blend her Himachali roots with the bustling energy of Mumbai. These projects taught me that everyone, no matter their profile, needs a space that acts as a shelter. I approach these homes the same way I approach any project. We look for pieces that carry meaning, we mix old and new, and we create layers that provide comfort. Whether it is adding a four-poster bed for a sense of nostalgia or selecting a specific shade of wall finish to change the mood of a room, the intent is always to create a sanctuary. Your home is not a place to impress others. It is a place to breathe, to exhale, and to reflect your own journey. If you are looking to design a space that feels like a true reflection of who you are, let us talk about your story.

I do not follow formulas, I follow gut feeling. My studio in Bandra is where we turn stories and memories into living spaces, ensuring every home I touch feels as honest and grounded as the people living in it.
