How I preserve your wedding memories
Your wedding day goes by in a blur, but your memories do not have to. I transform your wedding varmalas, kaleeras, and photographs into unique resin keepsakes that last forever.
This is my favorite part of the process, pouring the final layer of clear resin. It’s so satisfying to see the couple's photo and memories get sealed in, ready to be cherished forever.
The final pour is always a magical moment. This video shows the liquid resin being poured over a couple's photo, locking in the memory and giving it that beautiful, glossy finish.
Even when flowers arrive in a less-than-perfect condition, I do my best to salvage every memory. I transformed these damaged varmala flowers into a stunning set of custom resin coasters with gold flakes.
About How Your Memories Are Preserved
Many people worry that their varmala flowers have wilted or dried up by the time they reach me, but I can still work with them. Even if your petals look brittle or discolored, I use a chemical drying process to stabilize them before embedding them in resin. Whether it is a damaged rose or a fresh bloom, I will do my best to salvage what I can so you have a piece of that day to keep.
Preserving flowers in resin is a delicate balance of art and chemistry. When your flowers arrive at my studio, the first step is dehydration. I use professional silica sand to remove moisture over 7 to 10 days. This is crucial because any leftover moisture can cause the resin to rot or turn brown later on. Once the flowers are stable, I design the layout. If you have sent a photo along with your varmala, I carefully center it, ensuring the petals frame the image without hiding your faces. Then comes the final pour. I layer the resin in stages to avoid air bubbles, giving it that glass-like clarity. For larger items like shadow boxes, I work with deep-cast molds that can accommodate bulkier pieces like bridal kaleeras or heavy jewellery. You should know that real flowers change color slightly during drying. Whites might turn cream, and reds might deepen. I embrace these natural shifts as part of the story. If you want to save a specific bloom or a set of bangles, just let me know the condition they are in. I will be honest about what is possible, so we do not have any surprises.
