Even if your flowers arrived a little wilted after the wedding chaos, do not worry. I use a professional silica drying process to salvage the petals before casting them. Each set gets hand-painted gold edges and a protective top coat, so they are fully functional for your morning coffee or evening tea.
Preserving your wedding flowers does not mean they have to stay locked away in a frame. These agate-style coasters are designed to be used, not just watched.
The Preservation Process
I take your actual varmala or wedding petals and put them through a 7 to 10-day professional silica sand drying process. This retains the color of the petals far better than air drying. Once dry, I arrange them in the resin, often pairing them with gold leaf flakes and a hand-painted liquid gold edge for that luxe finish.
Practicality and Use
These coasters are made with heat-resistant, high-gloss epoxy. They are durable enough to handle your hot mugs or cold glasses, making them a functional piece of decor for your living room or dining table. Because each batch is custom-made, I can also add vinyl decal lettering to include your names or wedding date directly inside the resin.
What You Should Know
- Flower Condition: Do not be afraid to send flowers that have been sitting for a few days. Even slightly damaged petals can be repurposed into beautiful confetti-style layouts.
- Customization: Every set of four is unique. You can pick the gold leaf accents, the type of edge, and even the layout style.
- Timeline: Since the silica drying and curing process takes time, please allow for a standard turnaround to ensure the resin is fully set and safe for your home.
