Celebrate your lifelong bonds with a portrait that holds a literal piece of you, creating a connection that goes beyond ink and paper.

This blood art was created to celebrate 'Dosti', or friendship. The video shows the entire journey, from the blood draw to the surprise birthday delivery, capturing a moment of pure joy between friends.

A surprise gift for a brother. This video shows the creation of the portrait and the moment it was presented, a testament to the strong bond they share.

This video shows the step-by-step process of creating a blood art portrait for a brother. It's a popular request, as it's a unique way to honor the sibling bond.

The final reveal of the brother's portrait. I focus on creating a detailed and accurate likeness, ensuring the finished piece is a worthy tribute to their relationship.

About The Bond of Brotherhood & Friendship

You might wonder about the process—is it safe? Every portrait starts with a trained medical professional drawing a small 2-3ml blood sample in a sterile environment. I use this as my ink, which starts as a deep red and naturally oxidizes to a permanent sepia or rusty-brown tone. It is a completely clinical, safe, and transparent procedure.

When you choose a blood art portrait for a sibling or a best friend, you are not just buying a drawing. You are creating a physical symbol of the shared history and emotional connection you hold. These portraits, whether for an anna-tangi (brother-sister) bond or for a kuchikkuu (best friend), become keepsakes that carry the weight of a memory.

Why Blood Art?

It is the most personal medium possible. The portrait is literally made of you. This is why it has become such a meaningful choice for gifts between brothers and friends—it serves as a permanent, living reminder of your connection. Unlike standard charcoal or graphite sketches, the blood medium transforms over time, deepening into a rich, permanent color that stays with you.

The Process

Safety is the absolute priority in my studio. The blood draw is never done by me—it is handled by trained medical professionals in sterile conditions.

  • A4 & A3 Sizing: For single subjects, I work on A4 paper using 2-3ml of blood. For dual subjects, like friends or siblings, I move to A3 canvas, requiring 4-5ml of blood.
  • The Finish: Each piece is framed in high-quality synthetic frames, ready for your wall.
  • The Memory: Along with the physical portrait, I provide a professionally edited time-lapse video of the creation process. This is often the part that makes the gift reveal so emotional, letting you relive the effort and the thought put into the surprise.

Whether you are planning a surprise for a birthday, an anniversary, or a heartfelt thank-you to someone who has been your support system, this art is designed to bring out the emotion behind your relationship.
