About Community Events & Festivals
For large-scale community events, the biggest hurdle is usually coordinating sound and space. I come prepared with a routine designed to engage everyone from kids to seniors, so you just need to make sure your venue has a solid sound system and a safe, non-slippery floor area to keep the energy flowing safely.
When I am on stage at a place like the Mirchi Playathon, my job is to make sure the energy doesn't drop for a single second. Large events are different from my studio classes because you have a mix of people with different fitness levels, and many of them might have never tried Zumba before.
My approach to festivals and community events is all about accessibility. I focus on big, clear movements that are easy to follow from the back of the crowd. I also take on the role of an MC to keep the vibe high, encouraging people to jump in even if they are just passing by.
What I Need From You
To make this work, we need a few basics:
- Audio: A functional sound system is non-negotiable. It needs to handle outdoor or large hall acoustics so the music hits the back row.
- Space: A flat, non-slippery area is required to prevent injuries, especially if there is a lot of running or jumping involved.
- Customization: I can tweak the session length and intensity based on your event schedule, whether it is a quick 30-minute warmup or an hour-long stage performance.
I travel across Calicut for these events, and my goal is to ensure that by the end of the session, the crowd is sweating, smiling, and feeling that 'kadakche' (getting strong) vibe. Whether it is a corporate family day or a local festival, I am ready to bring the party.
