Our Artisan Collective: The Faces Behind the Craft
We are a community of over 2,000 artisans across India. Each piece you wear carries the story, resilience, and skill of the women who crafted it by hand.
Meet Dhia Bai, an artisan shareholder who has been with us for 15 years. She learned embroidery from her mother, who learned from hers. For her, Rangsutra provides consistent work, allowing her to earn with dignity in her own village.
This is Priyanka, a cluster manager and artisan. From morning chores to managing a center of over 40 women, she is leading with the confidence and skill passed down by her grandmother and mother.
Women are the backbone of Rangsutra. They are artisans, leaders, creators, and dreamers. This is a celebration of their voices, their journeys, and what it means to be a woman at Rangsutra.
Happy Women's Day from our community of artisans. Here, women gather at one of our centers, sharing stories and skills as they work, creating a powerful network of support and empowerment.

About Our Artisan Collective
Every item here represents a shift from mass production to human connection. When you look at these portraits, you see the actual hands that weave, dye, and stitch our fabrics in village centers. These are the women who own the brand they work for, ensuring their heritage survives through fair trade and dignified livelihoods.
We do not rely on assembly lines. Our process begins with skill passed from mothers to daughters, preserved in techniques like Soof counting stitch and Pakka embroidery. By owning our brand, we ensure that every rupee you spend goes directly to the people who did the work, not a middleman. This is what we mean by honest pricing. It allows women in far-flung villages to remain in their homes, working with their community rather than migrating for labor. When you support this collective, you are participating in a cycle of fair wages and zero-waste production. Whether it is hand-woven cotton or repurposed surplus fabric, our commitment is to longevity. We want you to wear clothes that possess a history, knowing that your choice directly supports a future where artisan craft is valued.
Rangsutra Crafts
We are a collective of women from villages across India, not a standard factory. We own our work, our stories, and our future, creating handcrafted textiles that prioritize people over machines.
