Trikayaa Dance Foundation: Classical, Martial, and Modern Training
Explore the spectrum of Indian movement, from the martial energy of Mayurbhanj Chhau to the refined grace of Bharatanatyam, led by Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee Rakesh Sai Babu.
This is a representation of the divine energy we channel through Mayurbhanj Chhau. My team and I explore the spiritual depths of this martial dance form in our performances.
Our senior Bharatanatyam students performing on stage. We believe that performance is a crucial part of a dancer's journey, and we provide our students with numerous opportunities to showcase their hard-earned skills.
A glimpse into a Mayurbhanj Chhau training session at our Indirapuram studio. Here, we focus on the foundational postures and movements that build the strength and precision required for this demanding art form.
Guiding our youngest students is a joy. In our kids' dance classes, we create a fun, engaging environment where children can discover the beauty of Indian classical dance and build a strong foundation.
A solo performance capturing the intensity and spiritual essence of Mayurbhanj Chhau. Each movement is a form of storytelling, drawing from ancient traditions and personal expression.
Our female students mastering the powerful techniques of Mayurbhanj Chhau, traditionally a male-dominated form. We are proud to empower all our dancers to break boundaries and excel in this martial art.
A moment from one of our contemporary dance productions. We blend modern techniques with Indian aesthetics to create choreography that is both innovative and deeply rooted in our cultural narrative.
About this collection
At our Indirapuram studio, we treat dance as both a spiritual pursuit and a discipline. Every class, whether it is high-intensity Chhau or technical Bharatanatyam, focuses on foundational strength, posture correction, and performance readiness. You are not just learning movements, you are training with professional artists who prioritize technique and cultural authenticity.
Dance at Trikayaa is guided by the philosophy of 'aghor'—finding a state without darkness through movement.
Our Training Approach
We move beyond basic steps to emphasize the history and martial roots of our dances.
- Mayurbhanj Chhau: This is not just a dance; it is a full-body martial workout. I personally guide students through these sessions, focusing on the core agility and control that define this ancient form from Eastern India.
- Bharatanatyam: Led by Artistic Director Priya Srinivasan, our Kalakshetra-style classes are structured for serious learners. We integrate theory and stage technique to prepare students for real-world performances and certification exams.
- Contemporary & Fitness: For those looking to move differently, our contemporary and Bollywood fitness sessions blend modern technique with Indian sensibilities. We focus on stamina, calorie burn, and fluidity.
Why Train With Us
Our facility in Indirapuram is designed for safety and progress. We use professional-grade shock-absorbent flooring to protect your joints during jumps and heavy landings. Whether you are a total beginner or a professional dancer, we offer age-segregated batches to ensure you are training at the right pace. Most importantly, we provide a pathway to the stage. Students are regularly invited to participate in our showcases, giving you the chance to apply your training in a live environment. If you want a space that respects tradition but understands the demands of modern performance, you will find your rhythm here.
