Singing in different languages is about capturing the distinct emotion of each song. From the storytelling of a French chanson to the technical control of an Italian aria, I focus on authentic expression and nuance.

I have a deep love for French music, and this Patricia Kaas song, "Mon mec à moi," is a classic. Singing in different languages allows me to explore different textures and emotions in my voice. This performance showcases my ability to handle foreign language voice-overs and songs with authentic pronunciation and feeling.

Georges Brassens is a master of French chanson, and his song "Je me suis fait tout petit" is a joy to sing. The lyrics are playful and clever, and performing it helps me connect with the storytelling tradition in French music.

Though I don't primarily identify as a Western Classical singer, I find that pieces like Vivaldi's "Vieni, Vieni" are excellent for vocal conditioning and control. This Italian aria demonstrates my technical training and ability to handle more classical or operatic vocal styles if a project requires it.

About International Covers (French & Italian)

Choosing to sing in French or Italian requires more than just learning lyrics; it is about understanding the unique cadence of the language. When I perform these tracks, I focus on the specific textures each language brings—whether that is the playful wit of a Georges Brassens chanson or the precise control needed for an Italian aria—so the delivery feels authentic, not just a phonetic imitation.
