There is a unique, powerful energy that happens when two artists move in perfect sync. Whether it is fire poi or LED trails, these duet performances transform the atmosphere of any event into a shared, meditative dance.

A throwback to a soulful duet fire performance on the beach at sunset. Working with a partner, we use palm torches to create synchronized patterns that blend with the beautiful, natural backdrop.

Our hearts speak the same language. A fire poi duet, where our movements are in perfect sync, a dance of connection and shared passion.

Small space, but we are just grateful to be flowing together. A fire poi duet on a terrace, showing that you don't need a big stage to create something beautiful.

An unfinished project with so much potential. This synchronized fire poi duet is something I'm excited to develop further, creating more magic on stage together.

An ode to the stall chaser. A synchronized partner poi routine in the park, a beautiful example of the intricate patterns we can create when we flow together.

We may be rusty, but we are feisty. A partner poi session in the river, getting back into the groove and enjoying some time in nature together.

Two lost souls swimming in the poi pond. A beautiful silk poi duet at a music festival, a dance of color and light.

About this collection

Getting the timing right for a duet is about reading the other person’s energy in the moment. When I perform with a partner, we are not just spinning; we are creating a conversation of light and flame that keeps the audience focused. It requires deep trust and shared practice, which is why I only collaborate with flow artists who understand that synchronization is about intuition, not just counting beats.

The Power of Synchronization

When you see a duet performance, you are witnessing two people moving as one entity. In the flow arts, this is complex because every prop—be it fire poi, dragon staff, or LED rods—has its own momentum. To make it work, my partner and I spend hours off-stage finding that common rhythm. We study each other’s movement patterns, ensuring that our fire snakes or light trails weave together without clashing, creating a larger visual spectacle than a solo artist could achieve alone.

Why Choose a Duet Act?

  • Visual Density: With two performers, we can create intricate geometries and overlapping patterns, especially with LED buugeng or fire poi.
  • Dynamic Interactions: We use the space between us to create 'tunnels' and 'chases' that draw the audience in. It feels less like a performance and more like a shared, living piece of art.
  • Engagement: Duets naturally allow for more interaction with the crowd. One of us can focus on high-impact tech tricks while the other weaves through the energy of the audience.

Safety and Logistics

Safety is non-negotiable, especially when multiple people are handling fire in a small space. For every duet performance, I bring a dedicated safety team. We perform a site assessment to ensure we have enough clearance for synchronized swings and moves. Whether it is a sunset beach performance or an indoor club set, we ensure the safety protocols are doubled to match the intensity of the performance. If you are looking to add a layer of complexity and high-energy visuals to your event, a synchronized duet brings the movement medicine to a whole new level.

I’m Swaroop. To me, flow arts is a form of movement medicine, and there is nothing quite like sharing that space with a fellow artist. When we spin together, we are not just performing; we are exploring a shared rhythm, and I’m always looking for those connections to bring a new level of energy to your event.
