Move, breathe, and let go. Whether you're here for deep healing or just pure joy, these sessions are all about finding your own rhythm in a safe, judgment-free space.

On my birthday, I celebrated by dancing with the wind and setting myself free. This is the essence of somatic movement, letting go and allowing your body to express itself without inhibition. It’s a powerful way to release tension and feel energized.

Finding balance, both in yoga and in life, is a continuous practice. Here, in the dancer's pose or Natarajasana, I am reminded of how movement helps center the mind and align the body. This principle of balance is central to my dance therapy approach.

This contemporary piece is all about emotion and storytelling through movement. In my sessions, I encourage you to find your own story and express it, whether it's through big, sweeping motions or quiet, gentle gestures.

About Somatic & Expressive Dance

I keep these group sessions intimate, usually capped at 8 to 12 participants, so I can ensure everyone gets the space they need. We start with gentle spinal flows to release physical tension, move into intuitive, non-choreographed movement to clear the mind, and close with a grounding circle—complete with herbal tea or a raw vegan energy shot to help you settle back into your day.

Finding Your Flow

My approach to movement isn't about learning steps or perfecting a routine. It is about listening to what your body is holding onto—whether that is stress, fatigue, or stagnant energy—and giving it a way to move through you.

What happens in a session?

  • Grounding & Opening: We begin by settling the mind. The studio environment is designed for this, using aromatherapy with specific essential oils and a curated playlist that shifts from shamanic drums to high-energy instrumentals to support your emotional journey.
  • The Movement: We focus on the spine, hips, and shoulders—the areas where we store most of our stress. I guide you through lymphatic drainage movements and somatic flows that feel natural to your unique anatomy. There is no right or wrong way to move here.
  • The Closing: After the movement, we sit in a sharing circle. This is where the real connection happens, and it is a chance to cool down with a complimentary herbal infusion or a house-made vegan energy shot before you step back into the city.

I'm Divya. I believe movement is the fastest way to reconnect your mind and body when life gets too noisy. My sessions aren't about getting the steps right; they're about listening to what your body needs to release, whether that's stress, fatigue, or just a little extra energy.
