Cinematic Moods and The Wanderer's Lens
I do not shoot for the sake of it. My lens finds the story in the mist, the shadows, and the quiet moments, bringing a cinematic, moody edge to your music videos or short films.
A high contrast, black and white shot of me on a stage, backlit by powerful spotlights. This frame is all about drama, mood, and the power of lighting in cinematography.
A short reel from my travels, contrasting a foggy morning drive with a peaceful bullock cart ride through a village. This is my search for peace, my 'nemdi goskara'.
A shot of me walking on a dirt path in a green meadow, carrying an umbrella. This image captures the essence of my journey as a wanderer or 'alemari'.
A rainy, atmospheric scene from a remote roadside, capturing a sense of melancholy and the feeling of a journey with an unknown destination.
Me looking up at the sky, standing amidst the misty green hills of the Western Ghats. A moment of quiet connection with nature.
A shot of me sitting under a starry night sky. This frame is about finding perspective and realizing how we are all part of a larger universe.
A stylized shot of me in a phone booth, lit with dramatic blue and red light. This shows my experimentation with color and shadow to create a cinematic mood.
A self portrait with my car on a country road, with yellow fields and palm trees in the background. A simple moment of happiness on the road.
A low key, black and white portrait with strong shadows falling across my face. An example of using shadow and light to create a moody, introspective character shot.
A vertical video of me looking out over a vast, cloud filled valley. This shot is about being disconnected from the world and finding solace in nature.
About Cinematic Moods & The Wanderer's Lens
I work with natural light and deep shadows to set a mood that feels real, not staged. When we plan your shoot, we aren't just picking locations; we are looking for the weather and time of day that fits your story, whether it is a music video or a documentary.
My approach to cinematography is shaped by my life on the road. If you want high-gloss, heavily staged visuals, I am probably not the right fit. My gear, including 4K Sony systems and FPV drones, serves one purpose: capturing raw emotion.
For music videos, I rely on moody lighting and offbeat angles. We can work in the rain, at golden hour, or under the canopy of the Western Ghats to get the right texture. For short films and documentaries, I keep it run-and-gun. I move with the subjects, using natural light to keep the narrative feeling honest. If a scene needs a specific emotion, I chase it until the lens captures it.
Whether it is an FPV interior tour or a drone sweep of a temple, I bring technical precision to these wilder, creative environments. I handle everything from on-site audio capture to data management, ensuring you get the raw Log footage ready for the final edit. My base is Karnataka, but I am comfortable in any environment, from Mangalore's humidity to Chikkamagaluru's mist. I am looking for stories that mean something, and I use cinematic lighting and documentary cinematography techniques to translate that into video. If you are looking for outdoor video production that breaks away from the standard template, let's talk.
