- Packaging: Encased in a transparent protective cover to prevent friction and dust.
Heritage & Bridal Silk Sculpting
Fabric Protection
- Heat Control: Low-heat, high-pressure pressing specifically for heavy silks to prevent fabric shine.
- Zari Preservation: Insertion of butter paper or tissue layers between Zari folds to prevent oxidation and friction damage.
- Structural Support: Usage of heavy-duty pins to support the weight of the saree without tearing the fabric.
Shaping & Setting
- Volume Control: Compressing waist pleats to reduce fluffiness for a slimmer silhouette.
- Border Alignment: Precision alignment of heavy Zari borders on the pallu and chest to ensure they sit flat.
- Visual Fold: Folded to display the designer pallu on top for easy wardrobe identification.
Nauvari 9-Yard Drape Setting
Drape Configuration
- Style Setup: Pre-setting the saree for traditional Brahmani or Peshwai pants-style wearing.
- Kashta Preparation: The back tuck (Kashta) is pleat-measured and ironed, ready for the user to tuck in.
- Volume Handling: Managing and ironing double the fabric volume compared to standard sarees.
Ready-to-Wear Aids
- Guide Lines: Creation of crisp crease lines that act as a visual guide for folding and tucking.
- Compact Storage: Despite the 9-yard bulk, the saree is folded down to a standard box size for travel convenience.
About Saree Pre-pleating and Box Folding
Why I Started This
I’m Priyanka, and honestly, I’m obsessed with sarees. Growing up in a Maharashtrian family, sarees are just part of my life, but getting those pleats right? Arre baba, it can get frustrating, especially when time is running short. That's why I started pre-pleating sarees for others who want that elegant look without the morning chaos.
What I Do
- I take your saree and make it "ready to wear" by pleating and ironing every fold ekdum perfect (totally perfect).
- Then I fold it all neat into a small box - super easy to store or toss in your bag if you’re traveling.
- When you need it, just open, drape, and go. No more wrestling with pleats before weddings or functions.
Why This Helps
- Major time saver for last-minute plans, festivals, or when you just can't deal.
- Looks flawless every time - pleats stay set, even if you’re dancing bindass (carefree) at a sangeet.
- Travel friendly saree packaging means your saree arrives as crisp as it left me.
- No stress about messing up the drape before a big event.
Events & Occasions
I’ve pre-pleated sarees for weddings, baby showers (dohale jevan), Ganpati, and even just for folks who want saree folding for storage at home.
This isn’t just about convenience for me, it’s about helping you feel confident and beautiful, saree after saree.

My Story
Hey there, we’re Draping Studio. Sarees? Our thing. Paithani, Kerala, Nauvari… each one’s got its own vibe. Started this studio just to spread that saree magic. Best moments? When a client smiles, like the time we did a Maharani style for a birthday or a special drape for a baby shower. Saree’s not just cloth, it’s confidence, tradition, and a bit of Maharashtrian power. We want you comfy, happy, and looking fab, always.
