About Behind the Lens: My Process & Tips
Newborn photography is never a race. Whether we are in my Gurugram studio or your home, I prioritize feeding and settling times over the clock. If your baby needs a cuddle or a change, we pause. That is how we get those peaceful, curled-up shots without any stress for you or your little one.
My Approach: Comfort Over Everything
You will never hear me say 'say cheese' or watch the clock during our session. Those forced smiles are not what I am looking for. I am after the real stuff—the soft giggles, the tiny nose crinkles, and the way your baby rests in your arms. My process is guided entirely by your baby's rhythm, not by a rigid schedule.
The Magic Window: First 14 Days
There is a reason I recommend booking in that early window. In the first two weeks, babies are at their sleepiest and most flexible. This is when we can safely achieve those womb-like, curled-up poses. As they grow, they naturally become more alert and their tummy comfort changes, which is why capturing them at this tiny, dreamy stage is so special.
Safety & Planning
My studio sessions come with a trained assistant because your baby’s safety is non-negotiable. Whether it is a complex pose like the 'froggy' or just managing props, having an extra set of hands ensures we are always focused on the baby. If you choose an at-home lifestyle session, I bring the studio to you—lighting, props, and all—so you do not have to worry about travel.
Your Role
My job is to handle the technical side so you can focus on being a parent. You do not need to worry about the 'perfect' shot or wardrobe coordination; I guide you through it all. From the first consultation to the final edits, we are working together to save these tiny, fleeting moments.
