There's something special about an outdoor session, especially for a first birthday. We set up a cozy picnic with a teddy bear, fresh fruits, and soft blankets to create a dreamy, natural setting for this little one's milestone portraits in a Gurugram park.
The half-birthday or sitter session is such a sweet milestone. At around six months, they are sitting up, full of expressions, and so curious about the world. This boho-chic setup with natural textures was perfect for capturing this baby's calm and gentle spirit.

If you are planning a first birthday session, here is a secret: aim for 10 or 11 months, not exactly twelve. At this age, babies are generally seated and less wary of new faces, which means we get genuine, happy smiles rather than the stress of chasing a crawler around the studio.
Photography is about more than just a perfect frame. It is about freezing the 'blink-and-you-miss-it' moments—the nose crinkles, the wobbly sits, and the quiet comfort of being held by you. I focus on creating a space where you and your little one feel like yourselves. No forced poses, no 'saying cheese,' and no watching the clock. Whether it is a studio session in my Sector 58 Gurugram space with boho-chic decor or an outdoor shoot during the golden hour, my process is entirely centered on comfort.
My Approach to Sessions
- Real Connections: I love it when the whole family joins in. Siblings, grandparents, and even your furry friends are always welcome. The more love in the frame, the better the memory.
- The 'No-Rush' Rule: Newborns and toddlers set the pace here. If we need to pause for a feed or a cuddle, we do. That is how we get those relaxed, soulful portraits.
- Editing with Care: You will notice a consistency in my work, whether it is a vibrant cakesmash or a timeless black and white portrait. My editing focuses on natural skin tones and bringing out the emotion of the moment, not hiding it behind heavy filters.
Planning Your Shoot
I offer everything from mini-sessions for milestones to full indoor-outdoor experiences. If you are stuck on a theme or not sure what to wear for an outdoor park shoot, I am happy to consult beforehand.
