Our Cold Process Soap Making Method
I don't believe in shortcuts. Here is a real-time look at how I blend pure oils and natural ingredients in my Mumbai workshop, batch by batch.
This video shows the heart of my work: creating a batch of red wine and coconut oil soap from scratch. You can see the entire journey, from carefully mixing the ingredients to the final moulding and packing, all done by hand right here in my Mumbai workshop.
About Our Handmade Promise
When you see me stirring a batch of Red Wine and Coconut Oil soap, you're watching the start of a four-week curing journey. I avoid heavy machinery and harsh chemical accelerators because good things need patience to develop their hardness and scent profile. If you are looking to stock these in your store, please keep in mind that my 5-7 day dispatch window is not a delay, it is the recipe.
The cold process method is how I ensure every bar stays true to my 'no shortcuts' promise. Unlike mass-produced alternatives that focus on speed, I mix oils like olive, castor, and coconut with lye in my Malad studio, allowing the natural saponification to happen slowly. This is why you will see slight variations in color and pattern between bars—they are not factory-made copies.
Why the process matters
- Ingredient Integrity: By not using extreme heat, I keep the beneficial properties of my essential oils intact. Lavender, tea tree, and coffee are added when the mixture is cool enough to protect their natural goodness.
- The Curing Wait: Every cold process bar spends 4 to 6 weeks curing. This is where the magic happens. Water evaporates, the soap hardens, and the pH levels balance out, resulting in a long-lasting bar that doesn't melt away in your shower after two uses.
- Raw and Real: I use zero parabens or sulphates. My packaging is plastic-free, using butter or Kraft paper because the product inside is meant to be good for your skin and the planet.
Whether you are a retailer in Mumbai looking for inventory that actually feels different, or a corporate buyer needing hampers that aren't generic, this process guarantees you are getting a product made with actual intent. I handle everything from the initial stir to the final wrapping, so you know exactly who made what you are holding.
