Beyond the visible spectrum. A collection where landscapes are reimagined through the surreal glow of infrared and the timeless clarity of black and white.

This is the world seen through a different kind of light. An infrared photograph from Singalila National Park transforms a familiar mountain landscape into a surreal, dreamlike scene. The foliage turns golden and the sky a deep blue, revealing a hidden layer of beauty invisible to the naked eye.

A sunburst over the hills of Singalila National Park, captured in infrared. This technique gives the landscape an otherworldly, golden glow.

The Himalayas in infrared. The snow-capped peaks remain white, but the vegetation and sky are rendered in surreal false colours.

A video showcasing various scenes from the Western Ghats in infrared. It's a look into an invisible world of light and colour.

A railway line cutting through the landscape, captured in false-colour infrared. The world takes on a completely different palette.

Windmills on a hill, photographed in infrared. The foliage turns a frosty white and the sky a deep, dramatic blue.

A waterfall captured with an infrared camera. The water remains white, but the surrounding forest is transformed into a golden hue.

A video showing my process of shooting infrared in Ladakh, and the stunning, surreal results that this technique can produce.

A monochrome long exposure of the rocky Gokarna coast. Removing colour allows the focus to be on the texture of the rocks, the misty movement of the water, and the dramatic composition.

A black and white shot of a misty alleyway, with sunbeams cutting through the haze. Monochrome is perfect for emphasizing light and shadow.

About The World in a Different Light: Infrared & Monochrome

If you're looking at these infrared or monochrome pieces, know that these aren't just filters. Infrared requires a specific camera conversion and careful lighting to achieve that 'false colour' surreal look, while my monochrome work relies on stripping away colour to force you to look at texture and contrast. If you pick a print, I ensure it's on archival canvas or Hahnemuhle paper, so the detail remains sharp and true for decades.
