About Outdoor & Travel Photography
Why I Do What I Do
I’m Pratap, a photographer from Bangalore, but honestly, the outdoors feels more like home. For me, outdoor & travel photography isn’t just about getting that Insta-worthy pic. It’s a mix of patience, chasing light, and a bit of madness to find scenes nobody else sees. Sometimes you get soaked in rain or freeze your fingers off, but that’s part of the fun.
What I Shoot
I find stories everywhere - from misty mornings in the Western Ghats to the wild sea at namma Karavali (our coastline). I’m big on:
- Dramatic landscapes, especially mountains and forests
- Long exposure seascapes that turn waves and waterfalls into something dreamlike
- Aerial drone landscape shots for a new angle on familiar places
- Astrophotography workshops under dark, starry skies
I experiment a lot. Infrared photography is a favourite - it makes even regular places feel out of this world. If you’ve ever wanted to see Kudla (Mangalore) or Hampi in a whole new light, that’s my jam.
Travel & Learning
I roam across India for assignments, from Zanskar’s remote valleys to the dense forests of Meghalaya. Karnataka holds a special place though – I’ve probably walked more of its coastline than most locals.
If you’re into learning, I also lead landscape photography tours and workshops. Whether you’re a total beginner or just want to go on an adventure with your camera, you’re welcome to join me.

My Story
Hey, I'm Pratap. Bangalore born and raised, and man, this city’s changed. I still have old snaps of Lalbagh and Madiwala lake, not what you see now. I’m hooked on landscapes, chasing colourful skies from the Western Ghats to karavali beaches. Sometimes I’m out on my KTM, sometimes just chilling on my terrace, shooting nebulae. It’s all about catching time in a frame, not just making another reel. Life’s peaceful under those stars.
My Work
Travel & Nature Photography, Drone, Timelapse, Astrophotography - I shoot landscapes, run drone nature shots, do timelapse travel photography, and print my work.
Photography Workshops - I teach astrophotography workshops in cool, quiet spots. Hands-on, techy stuff, DSLR or mirrorless needed.
My Approach - I go deep on technique—long exposure, timelapse, infrared, and more. I chase stories, not trends.
The Adventure - Road trips, glaciers, sunsets in Udupi—every journey is part of the art for me.
