My Life in Motion: Fitness for Real World Adventure
I don't train just to stare at a rack of weights. I train so I can cycle, surf, trek, and keep up with whatever life throws at me. This is what it looks like when fitness actually serves your life.
A little introduction to who I am and what I do. With over 14 years of experience, I've done everything from handstands to marathons, and I bring all that knowledge to my clients in 1:1 sessions and group classes.
This is a look at my Saturday Smasher class. It's a blend of strength-building intervals and mobility work, designed to challenge you without burning you out. The energy in a group setting is always amazing.
My name is Prashanth, and I believe fitness should be accessible to everyone. In this session, I designed a routine with interval training and mobility drills that could be modified for all age groups and fitness levels. My goal is to make sure you have fun while moving better.
Back in the mud at the Spartan Race after a five-year break. It felt great to push my limits and see so many other fitness enthusiasts tackling the obstacles.
The fire jump at the Spartan Race. These events are a true test of strength, endurance, and mental grit.
Taking my fitness to the water and learning to surf in Goa. It's a humbling experience that requires a totally different kind of balance and connection with nature.
Back in 2016, I cycled 1500 kms across Sri Lanka in 10 days. Adventures like this are a reminder of what our bodies are capable of when we train them well.
About this collection
I don’t train just to stare at a rack of weights. My sessions are designed to prepare you for life outside the studio, whether that’s a weekend trek, catching waves, or just playing with your kids. I focus on mobility and functional movement because, at the end of the day, having a strong body is pointless if it hurts every time you try to use it.
You’ll notice that my training photos aren't just in the gym. They are in the mud at a Spartan Race, on a surfboard, or out on a cycling trip. That is because the 'why' behind the movement matters more than the movement itself. If you spend your time training for strength but ignore your mobility, you are building a house on a shaky foundation.
My approach to movement is simple: build a body that lasts. We use classical Pilates to strengthen your core and CrossFit L2 methodologies to build real-world power, but we always prioritize the ability to move without restriction. Whether you are a desk warrior dealing with 'tech-neck' or an athlete trying to avoid the next injury, the principles remain the same. I work with clients across Bengaluru—from my studio at Troop HQ in Domlur to home sessions across the city—to teach them how to train for longevity rather than just immediate aesthetic results.
My goal is to get you to a place where your body is an asset, not a limitation. We strip away the drama of the 'no pain, no gain' mindset and replace it with smart, actionable programming that respects your recovery. You get the expertise of a seasoned coach, but we keep it fun enough that you actually look forward to showing up. Let’s get you moving better, feeling stronger, and ready for whatever adventure you want to take on next.
Prashanth Ponnappa
I'm Prashanth. I spend my days teaching everything from classical Pilates to heavy barbell work, but I'm just as happy grabbing a coffee or catching a wave in Goa. My goal is to help you build a body that’s actually useful, so you can spend less time worrying about pain and more time doing what you love.
