My Interior Design Process: From Concept to Reality
I believe good design starts with clarity, which is why I manage your project from the initial spark of an idea to the final installation. We will use 3D visualizations and hands-on material selection so you know exactly what your space will look like before we even start building.
This video shows a 3D visualization of a living room concept. Creating these realistic renders is a key part of my process, as it allows you to see exactly how the layout, furniture, and lighting will look and feel before any physical work begins.
A quick look at several 3D design concepts for different rooms, including a bedroom, kitchen, and living area. This showcases the versatility of 3D modeling in planning a cohesive design language across an entire property.
Understanding materials is crucial to good design. In this video, I share some insights on trending and cost-effective materials like moldings and rafters that I often use to add unique details to my projects.
Here is a glimpse into the material selection phase of a project. I work closely with clients to choose the right tiles, considering everything from durability and maintenance to the overall aesthetic we want to achieve.
Another look at the tile selection process. I lay out different options on the floor to see how they interact with the light and with each other, ensuring the final choice is perfect for the space. This is a collaborative step with my clients.
This custom-designed curved sofa is an example of a finished furniture piece from one of my projects. Selecting or creating unique furniture is a final touch that brings personality and function to a space.
About My Design Process: From Concept to Reality
Before any physical work starts, I provide detailed 3D visualizations so you can walk through the layout, furniture placement, and lighting scheme. This is not just a pretty picture, it is our blueprint for the project, ensuring we align on the exact finishes and dimensions so there are no surprises when the site execution begins.
My design process is designed to take the stress out of your home or office renovation. Whether we are planning a modular kitchen or a full commercial fit-out, I follow a four-step approach that keeps you in the driver seat.
Step 1: The Discovery Chat
We start by talking about how you actually use your space. I want to know what annoys you about your current setup and what you love. If you are in Navi Mumbai, we can meet at my Kharghar office, or I can visit your site to understand the footprint we are working with. No jargon, just a conversation about your lifestyle and budget.
Step 2: Realistic 3D Visualization
I hate the guessing game of renovation. That is why I create 3D renders that act as a preview of your final space. You will see the proposed materials, lighting, and furniture placement in place. If something feels off, we change it here in the digital phase where it costs nothing, rather than later when the tiles are already set.
Step 3: Hands-on Material Selection
Design is tactile. I love using trending, budget-friendly materials like moldings, charcoal rafters, or CNC cut MDF, but you need to see how they feel and catch the light. I work with you to pick the tiles, laminates, and textures, laying them out to see how they interact. This ensures the final space looks as good as the render.
Step 4: Execution & Final Touches
Once we start, I am on-site to make sure the work matches the plan. My goal is to ensure that the transition from a concept to reality is seamless, functional, and reflective of your taste. From modular workstations to custom-designed furniture, I handle the execution so you do not have to worry about the details.
