About this collection
When you look at these images, you'll see a distinct difference between my studio and outdoor work. I rarely rely solely on available light. Whether we are in the studio or on location, I often use off-camera strobes to control the light, ensuring we capture detail and texture that flat lighting often misses. It is about getting a clean, intentional look that puts the focus entirely on you.
My approach to photography is a blend of precision and intuition. With an engineering background, I treat every session like a technical project—checking lighting setups, angles, and camera settings before we even begin. However, when the camera is in my hand, the priority shifts to finding the 'jeeva' or soul in every subject.
Whether I am shooting a high-fashion portfolio in the studio or documenting a candid pre-wedding moment along the Karavali coast, the goal remains the same: an authentic story.
For studio work, I often use tethering, where we review images on a laptop in real-time. This helps us refine your expressions and posture on the spot, ensuring we nail the look rather than hoping for it in post-production. For outdoor sessions, I bring the studio to the location, using battery-powered strobes to balance harsh sunlight and create depth.
My roots are in the Karavali region, and that connection to the land and culture influences how I see movement and light. It grounds my work, whether I am photographing an actor for a Sandalwood audition or a family celebrating a special moment. You will get a mix of sharp headshots, creative portraits, and raw, candid memories that feel as genuine in five years as they do today.
