About this collection
In these sessions, we use tethering so you can see every shot on my laptop screen as we work. This helps us adjust poses, facial angles, and lighting in real-time, ensuring we nail the mood, expression, and gel colors before the shoot ends.
I approach portrait photography with the same precision I apply to my engineering work. A great portrait is not just about the subject; it is about how the light interacts with the frame. In this studio setup, I move away from standard flat lighting to use 3-point setups and RGB gels that create depth, shadow, and a specific mood.
My process is collaborative. Because we review images on a laptop as we go, we eliminate guesswork. If you are preparing for an actor headshot, we adjust the lighting to shift your character or intensity. If you are building a high-fashion portfolio, we play with dramatic colored gels to add energy to the image.
I prefer using solid backgrounds for a distraction-free professional look, but I can also use textured canvas when we need a more organic feel. My goal is to deliver sharp, high-end files that require minimal post-production because we got the light right on camera. You will receive 12 beauty-retouched images for portfolio sessions, but my priority is always to get the expression and technique perfect before we even touch a file in post-processing.
