Photography for real, raw moments
I believe a photo should do the talking. Whether it is the high-energy dust of a Kambala race or a quiet pre-wedding moment, I am just there to capture the real vibe as it happens.
A performer embodying the divine spirit during a Bhoota Kola ritual. I focus on capturing the intense energy and sacred atmosphere of these night-long performances, using the firelight to create dramatic, powerful images.
The sheer force and speed of a Kambala race captured in a split second. I thrive on the challenge of shooting this high-octane traditional sport, focusing on the dynamic action as the racers and their buffaloes charge through the muddy tracks.
A romantic pre-wedding moment captured on a boat along the serene Karavali coast. The flowing red fabric against the backdrop of coconut groves creates a cinematic feel, showcasing my style for creating beautiful, posed shots in natural settings.
A classic South Indian couple portrait, capturing the elegance of their wedding attire and the warmth of their connection. I use natural light to highlight the rich textures of the silk saree and the intricate details of the jewelry.
A candid moment from the 'Chowki', the vibrant backstage area of a Yakshagana performance. This photo shows the artists preparing under the warm glow of lightbulbs, a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the dedication and community of this traditional art form.
A portrait of actress Sapthami Gowda at an awards event. This shot demonstrates my ability to capture candid, natural smiles even in the midst of a large public function, using the ambient lighting to create a soft, flattering look.
A beautiful studio maternity portrait of a couple in traditional South Indian attire. This image highlights my ability to create timeless, intimate photographs that celebrate the journey to parenthood, focusing on the couple's connection.
About this collection
My approach is simple: I chase the light and the action, not the poses. When I am shooting a festival like Yakshagana or a family event, I stay in the background to document real expressions, letting you enjoy your day while I handle the framing and timing.
I come from a background where every event has a pulse. Whether I am navigating the intense chaos of a Bhoota Kola ritual in Koteshwara or documenting a quiet, elegant moment at a Bengaluru reception, my goal remains the same: capturing life as it happens.
The Engineer’s Eye
Being an engineer by profession has actually made me a better photographer. I look at every shoot with a technical mindset, analyzing lighting and composition, but I balance that with a deep emotional connection to the subjects. This is why you will see such a wide range in my work—from the raw, dusty speed of a Kambala race to the soft, intimate lighting of a maternity portrait.
My Process
I do not believe in excessive posing or staged drama. If you hire me, you are getting a documentarian. For weddings and family functions, my team and I focus on the moments you might miss while you are busy being the host: the laughter in the crowd, the tradition unfolding during a ceremony, or a candid glance between the couple.
Where I Work
I am based in Bengaluru but my roots are deeply tied to the Karavali coast. I frequently travel between Bengaluru, Kundapura, and Shivamogga for shoots. If you are looking for someone who understands the nuances of local culture, rituals, and high-energy festival photography, I am your person. For larger events, I bring a dedicated crew to ensure we cover every angle, from the main stage to the background details.
Pradeep Photography
I am an engineer by day and a photographer by heart, raised on the energy of the Karavali coast. It is never just about getting the shot; it is about keeping the emotion alive, whether I am shooting a traditional temple festival or a modern wedding in Bengaluru.
