My great-grandmother and grandmother were teachers, and I feel they would be proud that I make time to teach. I find teaching to be a difficult but deeply rewarding task, as it is not just about imparting wisdom but also about learning as we share.
My legal journey was not interrupted by motherhood; it was strengthened by it. From practicing law on my own terms to delivering TEDx talks and teaching as a professor, I have learned that motherhood is not a price we pay, but a strength we carry.
I had committed to a workshop on legal rights with Girl Up, but a last-minute family emergency arose. I conducted the seminar from my car while waiting at the hospital. Giving up is easy, but honoring commitments builds mental fortitude.
