Legal Advocacy & Public Speaking Workshops
Real-world legal training for corporates, students, and citizens. I break down complex laws into practical steps so you can protect your rights and understand the system.
My great-grandmother and grandmother were teachers, and I feel they would be proud that I make time to teach. I find teaching to be a difficult but deeply rewarding task, as it is not just about imparting wisdom but also about learning as we share.
My legal journey was not interrupted by motherhood; it was strengthened by it. From practicing law on my own terms to delivering TEDx talks and teaching as a professor, I have learned that motherhood is not a price we pay, but a strength we carry.
I had committed to a workshop on legal rights with Girl Up, but a last-minute family emergency arose. I conducted the seminar from my car while waiting at the hospital. Giving up is easy, but honoring commitments builds mental fortitude.
I respect teachers the most because we cannot excel without the right mentors and guides in our lives. This video is a tribute to them, showing moments from my own teaching journey, whether in a university classroom or a session at the Parliament library.
I attended a symposium at the University of the District of Columbia on inclusivity in law. It was insightful to learn about the "School to Prison pipeline" and reflect on how our education system plays a role in the juvenile justice system.
About Public Speaking & Legal Advocacy
I do not believe in dry, lecture-style training. Whether I am conducting a POSH workshop or a session on the new criminal laws, we dissect actual case studies and recent Supreme Court outcomes. You leave knowing exactly what to do in a crisis, not just what the statute says.
My sessions stem from years of litigation, not just reading books. For corporate teams, my POSH compliance workshops go beyond the 2013 Act. We look at how to handle complaints in real-time, focusing on internal committee neutrality and minimizing risk.
For law enforcement and government officials, I focus on the transition from the IPC to the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. We cover practical drafting, evidence protocols, and how to ensure an FIR holds up in court.
Students often ask me about the gap between textbooks and the courtroom. In my masterclasses, I teach the craft that university misses: how to read a judge, the art of bail arguments, and the reality of building a legal career without a family legacy.
For the general public, legal literacy is about safety. My cyber-law sessions are designed to be accessible. We cover how to use the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal and what to do if you face digital harassment. The law is meant to be a shield, but it only works if you know how to use it. If you want training that is honest, practical, and devoid of legal jargon, let's talk.
Prachi Pratap
I am a first-generation lawyer who believes the law shouldn't be a mystery. I bring the grit and lessons from my years in court to every workshop I conduct. My goal is to simplify legal concepts so they become tools you can use every day.
