How We Manage a Production

Photography is more than just clicking a shutter. Whether I am shooting a campaign for a brand like Biba or working on a fresh editorial, my process remains consistent. It involves a mix of planning, intense focus, and creative improvisation.

The Workflow

• Pre-Production: We start with mood boards and concept development. I map out the lighting setups, select the gear, and coordinate with the glam squad to ensure we are aligned before the first light is switched on.
• On-Set Direction: The shoot day is usually a high-energy mix of technical adjustment and creative direction. I guide the models, refine the posing, and constantly adjust the lighting—using gels and flags—to chase that specific mood we planned.
• Real-Time Collaboration: Because I shoot tethered, the client is involved in the selection process as we go. You see the RAW files immediately, which allows for instant feedback on composition and styling.

Why This Matters

My goal is to minimize surprises and maximize quality. By handling the production, crew, and technical direction myself, I ensure that the final result matches the vision we established in the planning phase. I believe that professional output requires this level of rigour, especially when dealing with textures, fabrics, or skin tones that need to look perfect for print or digital media.
